MSS Zoids look ok for the most part but the price point really put me off some what but i guess it will save me some space since all modeler have problem with space.

I'd better get the d-style than those 1/144. 1/144 zoids are both thumbs down

I'm still keeping a healthy dose of optimism for the MSS line. I do hope that, in the end, the quality and gimmicks/add-ons will be worth its asking price.
As of this moment, I really don't know if the images we've seen are of the final product or painted prototypes, as some on ZP have speculated.

It will be great if they showed up at Jusco and Metrojaya though. Those store sells TOMICA/TOMYTEC stuff, don't they? Mmmm - Members Day discounts.

That's some pretty neat add-on for the Lightning Saix.

Also finished my Gun Sniper Leena Custom few weeks ago and having some trouble keeping the weapons on it as they tend to fall off, since i pulled out the joint that holds the huge beam gatling guns on the sides as the movement is limited due to the missile racks it carries at the side of the legs..

Thinking whether I should just super glue it..?

Hauled from Ebay. Apparently dontress and roadskipper boxes were very badly damaged to begin with.



Intact mostly but 2 had missing pilots. I was aware of the missing pilots. Blue clear plastics (OJR symbol)

Ya. You have too many 24-scale Republic pilots. You're Deathpion pilot sure get ganged up on. Good thing Wave Dontress will have a giant to help out there.

About the "Made in Japan", I think it's found only on one of the sprue corners?
I don't believe the 80s 1/24 scale were Singapore or Thailand produced yet.


@KPG123: Leena Sniper does look sad without all the guns. Take the ones from your STK version and supersize the weapons payload! Leena will be very happy.

I've been reading that a lot of HMM modelers have to glue pieces on their Zoids. Would it affect the posability very much if you do it?

The Lightning Saix is supposed to be Irvine's in Chaotic Century (or is it Guardian Force?). I'm just hoping that the armour will be sold separately as well since I already have an HMM Saix that's in stasis.

So far..the HMM kits that I've assembled [Buster Tortoise; 2 Command Wolves and Leena's Gun Sniper] they are fine and no loose parts, other than the STK Barad's Comamnd Wolf having loose joints but it's fine. And..when i heard that STK is going to release the Leena's Gun Sniper i went wtf...

I didn't get the STK Leena's Gun Sniper..since I have the koto's one already.. ^^;;

For Leena's Gun Sniper, the loads of weapons will definitely hinder the posability of the model kit cos is big and if you pull out the support that holds the beam gatling guns to the max, the Gun Sniper's legs could move just out a lil bit. Plus the weapons tend to fall off like I mentioned previously.

Hmm..probably might super glue it..for the Gun Sniper's best I guess.. XD

ok, i found the 'TOMY JAPAN' imprints already.

On roadskipper, its under the feet, so it was hard to see.
On neptune, underneath the tail
On dontress, its there under some parts (black parts)

i had to clean the plastic bags... the dontress box was horrible, it had mold inside..ugh.

Those are legit OJRs allright. There were abundance of these 2-3 years back unloaded to the market and apparently they were all missing the pilots.

cryonic: next quest, to hunt the respective pilots! Which model in the Wave series you are lacking now?

hmm, i lack all wave models now. my dontress wave is otw, so i might mod that one accroding the ojr back box art, at the back of the ojr dontress/roadskipper, they showed u some variations.

i only have the following 24s now:

tdp deathpion
ojr battlerover (with missing caps and hands)
tdp neptune
ojr neptune
ojr roadskipper
ojr dontress

current ongoing huntlist:
tdp battlerover (so i can mold missing parts...)
all wave panzer tier series.
ojr sandspeeda+megatropos

That is a one heroic quest!

Megatropos and Sandspeeda as well as Zelve will send the shivers all the way down my spine. Also, there has been news surfacing detailing on Zelve Megatropos with translucent gray-ish covers on ZP. Another unknown gem perharps?
