For someone to drift properly on FF car, it takes lots of skill. My level is not so high although I play NFS.

I actually don't feel anything during the skid. It just felt like another NFS.

Then it was later when I start to think of my family, the person I love, friends, Lowyat.Net and facebook.

Feels like NFS:MW. The uncontrolled drift feeling which leaves Z shape skid marks on road. laugh.gif

same thing happened to a friend of mine, skidded on a rainy day and car ended up in a ditch.

didnt die also. therefore, i conclude from these case studies that it is perfectly safe to skid a car during a rainy day.

if you happen to die, you're the exception that proves the point. tough luck.

Weather: Rainy
Road: 2-lane rural road that I use daily to return home from college
Car: Proton Wira 1.5A
Turbo: No =p
Speed: ~60-70km/h
Typical speed for the path: 80-90km/h
Occurrence: Never

Illustration of the skid:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Before the skid occured: Calmly driving, taking the slight left turn smoothly
1 second after moving the steering: Car unexpectedly drifting to the right
Countermeasure: Turn the wheel more to the left
Consequences: Skidding starts. Tyres screeching. Approaching to the left shoulder of road
Re-countermeasure: Turn hard to the right
Consequences: Car spin! Wheel locked. Steering feels non-responding
Countermeasure: Sit and watch the road spin
Risks: Chances of hitting lamp poles and road dividers
Final output: Skidded for about 20m, front bumpers touched down on road dividers. Minor scratch. Car in opposite direction of traffic

No casualties. Thank God.

CHOIIIIIIIII!!!!! Dun say things like that pls!

Lucky you has mad driving skills mang. But nid improve if you dun wan skid to the other side of the road with oncoming traffic.

Sometimes got car or lori leak oil, then spill on the road. When it rains the oil also floats, so even if you drive slower, just need to kena 2 of your tyres kantoi liao.

If you feel your car beginning to spin dun hit the brakes and keep it down, doing that will lock your wheels like what you experienced, and you'll skid even more uncontrollably. You need to hit the brake sequentially to regain control of the skidding, dun spin your steering wheel too hard either.
