I recently bought the Sony KLV-W46-550A and I noticed that everytime I switch it on, there is this text saying "Store Display Mode: On". Anybody know what does it do and how do I turn it off? I cant seem to find it on the menus.

Also, the TV blacks out every now and then, infrequently and lasts bout 2-3 seconds and when it comes back on, the saturation seem to be higher. Any ideas anybody? Happens on both Astro or watching DVDs, etc.

Thanks in advance.

There should be the selection in your setting menu to change the display mode. Store Display Mode ususally have much higher contrast, brightness and color settings in your settings menu to adapt to the bright environment in the retail shop so that it looks good to the potential buyer when it is taken out of the box as display unit without any settings adjustment.

it's another sony TV but the message is the same.. Maybe the steps a little bit different but another owner already confirm need to choose factory default which I believe quite the same with all reset as suggested by the manual.

YeP. Found the answer on the Sony website too. Reset to factory setting and do the initial set up again. Thanks all

Select factory setting and do initial setup again . During initial setup, there should be a selection for Location (HOME/SHOP). Select HOME to solve this issue. Selecting SHOP will activate Store Display mode.
