Where in Singapore are they selling the Nexus One? From what I gathered, its Google that ships directly to you, if you are in SG itself.

yea, The N1 is not available in Malaysia. However, Google ships to Singapore & HK. Maybe Google deems Malaysia an unworthy market????

nexus one have international warranty and also can claim the warranty from HTC.

but in malaysia case...dunno bout it coz nexus one still not official yet...think HTC will reject it??

also, nexus one ships to SG and HK coz there have Google office ma. Surely google will send to a country with Google HQ b4 any other country.

SO, maybe can claim the warranty from Google HQ in SG??

correct me if i am worng.

A friend in Singapore has ordered N1 for me. Here's the order receipt from Google Phone Webstore:

Nexus One phone - $529.00
AC adapter - $19.99
DHL shipping - $28.32
Tax - $0.00
Total - $577.31

It's all in US dollars. Tax is zero because it's not going to any US state. I know Singapore imposes 7% GST on these purchases but I don't know where/when it's collected. Maybe it's handled by the courier? Anyway, I told my friend to expect the DHL guy to collect GST in cash or whatever. GST should be $40.41 which brings the total to $617.72. Another friend will bring it for me so I don't expect any further costs.

So hopefully my N1 will cost me no more than USD617.72 ( SGD859 / MYR2063 ).

PS: You don't really need that $20 AC adapter because the N1 charger is rated for dual voltage.

A UK socket adapter that you can pick up from Tesco for like MYR10 will do.

I will use the same cheapo three-Ringgit one that I use with my Treo 680 charger. I'm sure you also have a few lying around wink.gif

innards, my friend in singapore just received his n1 moments ago

he paid 577.31 USD for the phone, charger and delivery from US to Singapore
GST is 54.51 SGD and another 10 SGD for handling fee (running tax dept for us?)
by the way, the 54.51 SGD + 10 SGD is paid in cash when dhl reached your mailing address
