Is it possible for you to post the waiting list? Estimated completion time would help a lot too. smile.gif

Received my VS today. Thanks eric. smile.gif Benefits:

1. Brighter headlamps. Previously was unnoticeable under road lights. Not anymore. smile.gif
2. Improved ICE. I can slow down the bass a bit to get a similar effect/loudness from before VS was installed.
3. Less noticeable drag when compressor engaged during regular accelerating. Used to feel like I hit the brake for a bit. Hard-accelerate haven't tried yet. Wait till I go highway. biggrin.gif

Got to ask, could my old(24 years old) wiring system dragging down the effects of the VS?

Also, is VS supposed to improve RPM drop when a/c engaged during idle? Because for now, no difference. Maybe a little more consistency in rpm drop range. Haven't confirm yet. tongue.gif

Thanks eric. smile.gif Hm.. Currently I don't have any aftermarket grounding cable in my car.. Btw I've some voltage readings from my car. Would like to hear comments from electric pro eric. wink.gif

Test is done with a digital multimeter on the battery terminals. Basically voltage and voltage drop with or without VS is the same but time taken to regain voltage after a drop have improved a lot. From roughly ten of seconds to a split second. smile.gif

Battery with engine off: 12.64V
Voltage drop when cranking: 10.7V
With engine on: 14.24V (also known as alternator's voltage right eric?)
Voltage drop when A/C on: 13.8 V with extreme cases of 13.5V (RPM drop seems to be proportional to voltage drop.)
Stable voltage with A/C on: 13.98V
Stable voltage with A/C on with blower at max: 13.83V
Stable voltage with A/C on with ICE: 13.6-13.7V

Now the questions are:
1. Are the voltage readings good? From multiple sources on the internet, everything is ok except when the voltage starts to go below 14V when engine is on.
2. Currently voltage drop increase as load increase. (Along with RPM) Is that normal? AFAIK, the regulator should adjust to bring voltage back to normal.
3. Now with 1 VS, time taken for voltage gain after a drop have improved, would a 2nd vs reduce the voltage drop itself?

Sorry for the long questions and thanks for reading. smile.gif

p/s: Can't wait for the new version of VS. biggrin.gif

..I checked my battery voltage with a multimeter and it read 12.8 volts. The next day the voltage will drop to 12.4 volts..

Is that normal eric? If memory serves, mine is like that too.. hmm.gif

Mine is 96K uf, aluminium casing is heat conductor (check out why cooler master or your computer heat sink using aluminium? because they're good in heat conduction) and allow a huge number of heat entering the unit and then reduce the capacitor's performance and life span. Do you know how hot is your engine bay ? unless you're always in the cabin with your air cond. thumbup.gif

Not to mention zaptor doesn't have heat insulation unlike eric's. thumbup.gif
