Hello,

My name is Johan, I'm the new guy here. Currently want to upgrade my hifi system especially the speaker section. read a lot of great reviews of Polk Audio speakers.especially the RTiA7 model. I really want a decent floorstanding speakers that can go loud without distortion. Hope you all can info me where to get them or reccomend me other suitable model. Currently i am working and residing in Kuantan. My system right now is a really budget set one: Speaker : Tannoy mercury mx3, amp: Kenwood KA-3020 and DVD player from Sony/Pioneer/JVC. Looking forward to go to KL next weekend for audition. Please...please.

Thanks for the info. However can you please ask your friend the price of the RTiA7. Is it around RM4K? I have contacted many of the dealers around KL and Penang but to no success.

Jokoma, UGPM

Overall the sound is pretty good but I cannot give you a comparison with other speakers since the unit is installed in my new AV room (new in 2008) and I have never tried any other speakers in that environment. I've tried different subs, centers, amps, CD players and bluray players but never the main speakers.

Currently being driven by Sony DTS-5500ES 120W amps (not available in Malaysia). I was using a Yamaha RXV-1700 before and it felt like it couldnt push the speakers (eventhough same wattage as the Sony)- but this is an amp thingy I guess.

Music sounds good and bass also pretty decent (I dont use the subs for music listening)- Sorry can't give you a more descriptive 'audiophile' review.

BTW like 90% of the 'affordable' speakers out there- the Polks are made in China.
