i think from now till it's launched, till it reaches your hand ..... i'll say 6 months is a good estimation

I guess if you missed the launched on the 1st day, then the waiting period would be around 2 to 3 months for the phone, based on the 3GS last time.
Even Sg site the waiting period is 4 weeks for the telcos and 3 weeks from apple store. So expect Msia to be longer.

nope, waiting period is long coz there's shortage and Msia is not top of apple list btw.

actually it depends on market demands, if ppl are willing to pay high price, then I don't see why the telcos should reduce the price. well, for me, i would not pay more than rm500 for one. I got one under rm500 and gonna get another one next month

only if you queue overnight , much much longer if ou missed the launch

there is not much different actually coz apple products price are similar everywhere. Just in this case the telcos are getting the upper hand of it. How I wish Apple Store Msia could sell the iP4, at least to show the telcos they are not in total control.

you should probably look outside the 'box' and see how many countries apple online store actually selling it instead of babbling here without any facts or even bother to find out.

actually corporates not that bad coz telcos always deliverer to corporate users 1st.
just for benchmarking sake, the corporate rates i'm getting for the iP4 price; 2 years contract SGD$10, 1 year contract SGD$110, monthly plan $30 (inclusive data 12GB @ 7.2mbps, 200 mins free call, 500 sms, caller id, etc etc ...)
...downside is, only 3 lines per employee

actually i know last time they offered quite a attractive corporate 3GS package for those based in Malaysia as well, quite similar to the Sg package. just that the iP4 package is not out yet in Msia now. Should be around the corner, in 1 or 2 months maybe.

correct, Apple standard is 1 year warranty, extra warranty is an option under APP.

no, because you are tied under contract, so they don't need to lock it.
