I guess if you missed the launched on the 1st day, then the waiting period would be around 2 to 3 months for the phone, based on the 3GS last time. Even Sg site the waiting period is 4 weeks for the telcos and 3 weeks from apple store. So expect Msia to be longer.

QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Sep 20 2010, 04:55 PM) @Mackiddo nope, waiting period was only that long cos Maxis mis-calculated the interest. nope, waiting period is long coz there's shortage and Msia is not top of apple list btw.

QUOTE(leong85 @ Sep 20 2010, 04:56 PM) so what price you think iphone 4 should be sell ? RM 500 ? they have upgraded the existing plan with extra data plan, i saw a post previously, APPLE and MAXIS is not charity company right ? actually it depends on market demands, if ppl are willing to pay high price, then I don't see why the telcos should reduce the price. well, for me, i would not pay more than rm500 for one. I got one under rm500 and gonna get another one next month QUOTE(bizness @ Sep 20 2010, 05:05 PM) Why you say that?.. ..Will I get a chance to get it on 26th September? only if you queue overnight , much much longer if ou missed the launch This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Sep 20 2010, 05:10 PM

QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Sep 20 2010, 05:16 PM) @dokidoki That's Singapore. the entire economic climate is different here. its like saying I should sell water for RM1 no matter where i am. in the desert, I can charge RM1000 for one glass, there's people to buy. again, Maxis n Apple are not charities the only way Maxis will charge less is if no one buy. and that's not gonna happen. there is not much different actually coz apple products price are similar everywhere. Just in this case the telcos are getting the upper hand of it. How I wish Apple Store Msia could sell the iP4, at least to show the telcos they are not in total control. QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Sep 20 2010, 05:30 PM) and what would Apple's benefit be? hmm? cos they already spent so much time n effort getting Digi & Maxis to support them, why should they sell online? to benefit *you* ? the telcos obviously have the upper hand, cos without telco support, iPhone cannot sell here. the telco have political support, remember? you should probably look outside the 'box' and see how many countries apple online store actually selling it instead of babbling here without any facts or even bother to find out.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Sep 20 2010, 05:24 PM) @Mackiddo, Since you're oredi with one, can't U just get me one instead of me having to join one too?! I don't like all the office politics in a big corporation.. the only thing I probably don't mind is a big household! Lol.... But having said that, are U saying your corporate rates for the iPhone 4's out?! I don't believe! actually corporates not that bad coz telcos always deliverer to corporate users 1st. just for benchmarking sake, the corporate rates i'm getting for the iP4 price; 2 years contract SGD$10, 1 year contract SGD$110, monthly plan $30 (inclusive data 12GB @ 7.2mbps, 200 mins free call, 500 sms, caller id, etc etc ...) ...downside is, only 3 lines per employee This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Sep 20 2010, 05:43 PM

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Sep 20 2010, 05:41 PM) @Mackiddo, As mentioned previously, please do not compare the SG market with the MY market! actually i know last time they offered quite a attractive corporate 3GS package for those based in Malaysia as well, quite similar to the Sg package. just that the iP4 package is not out yet in Msia now. Should be around the corner, in 1 or 2 months maybe.

QUOTE(eif @ Sep 20 2010, 08:32 PM) Anyone can explain this to me? If let say, someone bought the Maxis iPhone 4 & re-sell it at market..Then the phone will lock? no, because you are tied under contract, so they don't need to lock it.
