not suprising, though. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

even the 1900tii's drivers alone are very very capable. after some minor tweaking, can easily get very nice sounds from it.

about the 1900tiii, it only just gets better. thumbup.gif

tried the R1900T3 at show room last week. but the speaker cant reach my expectation, or mayb it just need some certain tweak or software tuning to make it sound better. what i heard in the showroom is the sound very messy, no staging and no layer, and the bass are like uncontrol . anyway, i will go back and try again bcoz i really want to get a new speaker. one more thing, the R1600 really surprise me, the sound is so natural, original...very suitable for me actually...haha...and one more thing, thanks to the promoter at edifier showroom, super nice guy, but just he talk too fast...haha...really cant find such a nice promoter anywher else...

My personal opinion it is excellent at delivering low bass and good midrange

The wired controller can be plug as a bridge between the speaker and you source(output), then you can select the volume smile.gif

Just bought this speaker, when at rather high volume output, my poor LG Flat CRT has inteference (horizontal ripples)... sweat.gif
Because of my poor table where space is rather constraint... speakers are put very close to the monitor itself. biggrin.gif

Its not pure speaker, you have to use power(AC)

unless you replace the ori / stock hifi speaker with T3 , and also make sure you hifi player has RCA out wink.gif

The speaker does not 'suck' power from your sound card, it needs a AC current (your home wall plug)

There's no measurement details in the product page provided. I think there's an error in the frequency response information @ 20hz-20khz?. A 5 incher mid bass unit can never go that low.
Anyway I have been using R501MKII (for my PC) for few months now and the speakers are good especially the giant subwoofer.
The R1900TIII is definately a beautiful set of speakers but until now I couldn't find any review on it on the net even the previous generation R1900. Anyway I have ordered one today through Direct Com and hopefully be getting it by next week.
Can anyone post the picture of the R series controller that is compatible with the speakers.
I am a bit dissapointed though as it would be much better if edifier build the speaker with a built-in infra remote controller just like the R501.

Thanks for the frequency response graph. Actually it was posted before at earlier thread.
I received a call today from direct comm saying that my speaker won't be arriving until next Wednesday. So frustrated lah.... They said it was the transportation problem.
Another thing that I have also been informed by them that inter-asia has stopped bringing in the R-series volume controller. It is true?
If it is then it would be a problem since it is inconvenient to me to adjust the volume (+ super bass) at the back of the speakers. Any recommendation?
My friend has suggested me to get a pre-amp but it is quite difficult to find especially with a remote controller. Anyway my friend will try to look in pasar road probably the DIY ones. Does any of you guys got something better? or how about the MSI Mega PC? How much is the retail? It looked so cool and perfect with the speakers but I think it is not cheap since it is also a computer.

Price of R1900T3 is RM339 now. U can get it @ Low Yat Plaza.

FYI, the price of R1900T3 will increase after we finish our old stock. This is due to the Labour, raw material and etc increase

I found my r1300T3 lack volume power. It needs to turn on a lot to get a nice sound. I wonder will add pre amp will do? If yest how would it be? Can it be DIY?
*
What sound card u use? The HA11 headphone amp will help to boost up the sound due to R1900T3 don't have the pre-amp. U can use the HA11 as your pre-amp and if u r some where arround KL, pls drop Edifier showroom to test it.

I using audigy. I set to volume 40% but at the volume knob I need at least 50% to hear the sound. If the volume knob too low, it sound like blur blur sound not cripsy clear.
I trust the speaker is good, but just lack of puch in the input stage.

It maybe too low is you just set volume 40%, maybe 60% is better,

Reason, the SC may cut off some of the sound when volume level is this low blush.gif

well , after look at ur setup, i have some suggestion for u, u can put a brick like this under ur speaker, beside reduce the vibration cause by ur table, it also raise up the position of ur speaker to ears level, thus increase ur listening experience, indirectly u will feel the sound quality get increased. biggrin.gif

I heard performance wise R1900T3 still dominates especially on highs and mids...
Some chinese reviews say that it is quite flat..
As in it won't have special performance on highs mids and bass.

Just bought R1900TIII today, impressive sound for such a price. Oh I am now in China.

The bass is a bit too much for my taste - luckily it is adjustable.

I am using my onboard audio and listen to 蔡琴, I must say I am impressed. Hmm... will buy a soundcard to match it.

BTW, what is the price of S2000 in Malaysia?

depends on the song type, the bass could be overwhelming but sometimes not enough if i'm in the mood for the trance or bass heavy music. the problem is the variation of my music range is too big. lol.

anyway, i'm thinking of getting the C2 for the base support and use my r1900tiii as the main satellites. is it possible to just connect my r1900 to the external decoder of the C2?

Why is it so difficult to get one of these speakers in Australia?
I'm looking at the S330 and this R1900T3. Which should I get for gaming, watching movies and listening to classic, orchestra and my favorite kennyG?

I will buy the R1900TIII because it's designed by Phill Jones ... and the materials are superb .
The sound it would be a little punch , saddly you don't have available the R1900TII06 in Asia , which have more flat sound in my opinion.
Anyway the system is amazing

Hi ego draconis,

Yes, the R1900TIII is more suitable for such songs as you mentioned due to the emphasized mid-range output compared to 2.1 speakers like M3300. biggrin.gif

Or there is another model that doesn't come with amp?

Please advice.
