what is the email to complaint to SKMM? My new homeline has been activated for 3 weeks and until now no streamyx came in. I called 100 and they said there's no streamyx application under my name..

I am an IPTA student and wish to apply for Cool UniPack 2Mbps. My family is using the 1Mbps package (RM88, of course the account is not under my name). Can I apply for it and at the same time upgrade the package that my family is using right now to 2Mbps, cause the monthly fee is RM5 lower. (RM83 < RM88). 

actually i just did upgrade my streamyx account(not under my name) to coolunipack today. no problem at all. he said by 1 week the application should be done.

but i guess every different tmpoint branch has a different story to tell.

guys,i want to ask something,the HP Mini 210 that comes with this package,is it equipped with the Broadcom HD accelerator?How about the res of the LCD,is it 1024X600 or 1366X768?

for those that already got their 4Mbps package,
I want to ask whether the speed is really 4Mbps??? Cause my friend say although you get that 4Mbps package, the speed is still like 512Kbps~

so, can i cut the streamyx plan that i having now, then i sign up for the new 4mbps plan? still need 1 month? or juz directly?

Just sharing my story here if someone wants to refer to troublesome/successful applicants history.

Summary of NotsoCool Unipack Application

17/03/2010: Went to TMPoint. "Advised" by TM Staff to terminate line. Did so.
26/03/2010: No progress of termination can be seen, account is still up. Went to TMPoint, changed my application to "Subscribe new Homeline". I can't wait.
26/03/2010: Shortly (~2 hours) after I registered and paid RM75 for new homeline, TM guy called me for an appointment on 29 March @ 11.30am.
29/03/2010: Finally the TM Guy came on 12.30pm. Asked whether do I still need the old number. No; and thus using the same line but different number. Old number kaput.
30/03/2010: Streamyx "Check Application Status" shows: "Service available; Installation in process"
31/03/2010: Nothing changes, no calls.
01/04/2010: Streamyx "Check Application Status" shows: "Installation Postponed". Wtf!? Is this an April Fool?
02/04/2010: Went to TMPoint. Contacted the contractor. Line activated but capped at 1.7MBPS, contractor asked me to show TMPoint the confirmation form of completing installation.
03/04/2010: Went to TMPoint to ask about Netbook & speed capping. Due to some issue, only asked about netbook. They said we don't have to show them actually, just wait. (Wtf, wasted my time.. read full story)
05/04/2010: Received email from HP about my order. In production stage.
06/04/2010: Checked HP Order Status, now in shipment to Malaysia from Singapore. Expected delivery date 13 March 2010 (Why need so long.. T.T)

That's my summarised story so far, good luck for those who are applying or waiting. It's a pain process and procedure just to get this package. Why don't they just click the "Upgrade" button; and click on "Streamyx _.0M (Free Modem) - RM___ (Streamyx Combo) (Wi-Fi @ Home) (Student Netbook Bundle) (HSI)" button? Gosh...

I have some question :

i) Is the price included with the phone rental ?
ii) If now i am using the Streamyx Combo, can i upgrade the package to cool uni pack ? What about the cooling period everyone is talking about ?  [The homeline is not under my name]

That's very lucky of you. Actually if that time I trick the TM Staff a little bit, I can get that I think. Cause the staff said I don't have to terminate, she can directly upgrade for me (Didn't even ask who's the owner of streamyx.. cool).
Too bad I already submitted my termination form on another counter previously.

I think we can just phone the TM Point to track our application status if we don wan to wasting time visiting the TM Point. The phone number for each TM Point can be found here

i went for termination and done my termination letter..the staffs there said juz ned 1 week and can apply for the uni pack..

Hmm. My situation is kind of unique so it's not really answerable in the FAQ. Here goes:

I have two phone lines, let's call them Primary and Secondary.

Primary is the main house line, paying rental. Due to usage in official house business, this number is non-terminable. No Streamyx/dialup on this line.

Secondary is rental-free. Streamyx is on this line.

Now, my plan is to apply 4Mbps Unipack for Primary and see how it goes from there. If it is good enough, cut the current Streamyx account and cut the Secondary line as well/or not. Or should I pull in another home line?

What do you think? Is this the correct course of action?
