For this position, most likely they are going to offer RM1,200 - RM1,500 as start.

Exactly. Went through an MT program by a reputable MNC, felt abused and misused to the max. No complaints about the pay, but really very sucky job scope. Being treated like an assistant = Zero personal development.

Popular is a very chinaman style company. Even for execs, they offer very low pay and I saw they keep posting up the same position many times. Meaning either nobody wanna work, or they can't get in people easily. Expect them to pay little and get you to work like an assistant, giving you little personal development or training.

Don't get conned into MT program, especially by small companies. Even for MNCs, I'm skeptical as well. Most of the time, it's a scheme to attract talents and promote company, that's all.

I find it weird that Popular bookstore is offering MT and they are actually placing you in the bookstores and not the HQ. MTs are supposed to be in the HQ.

Even the job scope that they listed down does not sound like what a normal MT would do, it sounded like what a normal worker would do. For example, making sure the book stocks are available, books are arranged properly etc.

But i suggest u go for interview and find out.

Yup. The job scope indeed like normal job description for particular worker. What I worry they will bond me for a period of time, 1 year or 2 years.

Guys, don't be fooled by this position.

You all deserve better ones which I assume you all are uni graduates.
Go for better offers.

They only offer a freaking RM1.8k for a degree holder.

Regards.

Yup. This is what they told me. I asked for higher salary and they say they need to discuss 1st.
RM 1.8 is quite common for fresh grad nowadays. Few years back, fresh grad can get min RM 2.2 k. I dun deny that some fresh grad like my frens who get 2.5k for their first job.

Don't bother to aim for bonus. Economy now is being hit by a big truck. Consider lucky you have a permanent job.

it depends, as long you hit your KPI and the company is earning, don't bother that much, they will come.

and also, you should focus at learning i guess. what dept you are in?
