Ade is a togonator so even getting hits from ak47, he wont die.

If they decide to pull out of ANC then the terrorist win.

Still the no1 concern is world cup. They are bringing a world class event to terrorist's front door.

There are Chelsea players from Togo? :\

Quite shocking news this. Dahla this year it's the 2010 World Cup. Huh. How will it be handled.

Personally I believe this African Nations tournament should have been planned better, in terms of safety and organization. For a start, I believe this tournament should be held once every 4 years (like European Nations cup or UEFA Euro and FIFA World Cup). I also think that they should held it during the mid year (summer) when every european league has finished. Having it held during early January is not the suitable time.

But the main concern here is the safety........ I hope that these kind of incidents can be avoided in the future.

Togo withdraw from ANC as death toll increases

Togo have withdrawn from the African Nations Cup in Angola following the machine gun attack on their team bus on Friday, with the death toll now understood to have risen to three.

There have been conflicting reports about the identity of those shot, but it now appears two players were injured and Togo assistant coach Abalo Amelete and a spokesperson, Stanislas Ocloo, have died. Goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilale is thought to have been taken to South Africa for treatment and there have been suggestions that he may have also died.

Separatists, terrorists or whatever you call them the FLEC-R attacks will not end. They are going to use the ACON tournament as a world stage for their platform. Hence there will be further attempts hopefully not at the Chinese built stadiums in Cabinda.

This is a dilemma for the players. No amount of security is going to prevent the FLEC-R suicidal groups from attacking again.
The Togo bus was heavily protected but still came under fire.

To call of the ACON matches in Cabinda might be wise because of the unresolved legacy of the Angola Civil War
Not the WC in South Africa as a number of Cassandras, nattering nabobs of negativism/negativity, will be clamouring for.

I don't feel good about this. Thats why I hope the FA will act on to recall all BPL players.
I know Ade is going home. I hope the others will !

I would be hoping ANC get canceled. To call only BPL players are nothing but selfish. It makes it looks like as if the lives of other players from other league are not important eh?

Postpone it, cancel it for the safety of everyone.

I'm sorry you are right about the overiding concern should be the Safety and lives of all the players not just only BPL players.
FIFA/CAF is not cancelling or postponing it though.

The only 'authority', if any, that FA can exercise is on BPL players.
