Wii can co-exist with 360.

Get both. My Wii co-existing with a PS3 nicely.

If you have a good enough TV, all three can co-exist together.

Tell your friend to try playing US version of No More Heroes and Madworld.
See if he change his tune or not.

For me, Wii is for more than Kid+Family. It's also for nostalgia and retro gamers. Reason: Virtual Console. My PS3 so far only using for Bejeweled 2 while I wait for FFXIII US ver.

Eh, dun do it one shot laa. Do one year one. For me year before already bought Wii. Last year bought PS3. By Nov this year hope to buy 360, assuming I can clear out of the pokai state first and buy all the accessories and games I plan to get for my existing consoles. 360 not on top of my want list since only two games on my top 10: Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
