Yes, the number of well-heeled individuals in Malaysia is most certainly an extensive list. The value of sheet-metal present that day was valued at (close to, if not more) RM30mil.

Finally got my grubby paws on the wheels of the mk6 GOlf GTI. I've been meaning to have a go in this car, even before I took the RS250 Megane for a spin, so when everything fell into place, I was quite excited.
![]() The GTI is a whole different machine that the RS250 is; less raw and more mechanical, it lacked the excitement and thrust of the RS250. That's not to say however, that the GTI is slow. The time it took me to go from 100km/h to 190km/h surprised me; I did not feel the speed at all, and yet there I was going pretty fast in that small little thing! ![]() All in, I would have personally taken the GTI over the RS250; sure, it is less exciting... but at the same time, I think I would fare much better in a machine that is more forgiving |

@r3: Nice pictures of the GTI man, it's a great machine. I've driven it on numerous occasions, and it has never failed to leave a lasting impression. The pull when the turbo kicks in is just absolutely addictive, and the 'pops' from the exhaust when you shift thru DSG box' is an altogether different addiction.
However, I feel that the RS250 is just a much more hardcore and mean car. Shifting through the 6 spd manual box' is much more involving and the mechanical grip the car has thru the bends, definitely impresses even the most relaxed of drivers. But its definitely not as forgiving as the GTI is. It feel as though, when you eventually run out of grip, you are going to have it bad, unlike the GTI which makes you feel safe at the limit. Both great cars dude. Any pictures of the RS250? |

@zftrans: Yes, I took some pics of the RS250 here
The GTI on the other hand is a very well oiled machine; less emotions involved, more autonomous, and as a result, that little bit more perfect when viewed in the context as a machine/tool. The shifts between the gears were seamless and if I hadn't kept my eye on the speedo, I would not have known I'd hit 190km/h; especially not when the road I was on was merely a short straight. Both are fantastic machines, and whilst the heart says the RS250, the mind knows I can only live with the GTI. Sad thing then, that the wallet says I cannot have either |

Had some alone time with a Maserati MC12; really liked the results, so I thought I would share.
![]() ![]() ![]() From pictures, it is hard to imagine how intimidating this monster is. Ultra wide, mega low.... zero rear visibility. I cannot even imagine driving this monster machine. Like the Enzo, the MC12 has single bolt magnesiums; a good sign that this has crossed the supercar border and moved deep into hypercar realms... Looking at this thing is an assault of visual lines - horizontal, vertical, squares, curves, concaves, circles... ![]() ![]() That's right; King of the Mutha-F!@$#'n Hill, baby! ![]() |

Had the opportunity to take some pictures with a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 on Friday 13th, last week. Whoever said Friday the 13th was bad luck? The coffee machine in my office was returned from repairs, the weather was brilliant without a drop of rain.... and I was given the chance to take the baby Lambo for a drive from Putrajaya via the MEX highway to Bukit Damansara area.
Best Friday 13th ever!! Some quick teaser pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Darkness of the basement was intentional, and meant to set the mood. More pictures to come, along with a short review of driving the Gallardo... |

Second half from the LP560 shoot; unfortunately, the lighting was dimmer than I expected. Coupled with the fact that I'd forgotten to bring my tripod along, the pictures didn't turn out very well at all. Am trying to arrange for a second shoot; this time in the day. Here's to hoping I can work something out!
Anyway... here are the rest of the pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by r3kahsttub: Jun 16 2011, 10:13 AM |

I believe the FF is no longer on display; it was only here for a week, and was then moved to Bangkok for display
