white wood dunhuang is a bit steep but the price for GZ increased tremendously last 2 yrs due
to shortage of wood and living cost in China.

and u paying premium too for the Dunhuang brand which also a very reliable brand. 
Honestly if I were you.. i will dig deeper and empty my pockets for a slightly better one than
a white wood.... at least a normal red wood else you will regret it before you reach G4.

2yrs ago I paid US$2,900 including freight by AIR to Malaysia an elite model guzheng now it cost
US$3,200/= excluding postage.
In addition I paid RM2.6+ => US$1 and now is about RM3.0+ per USD.

The price for Zheng will increase again soon as now its a lifestyle item for the PRC families.

Brudder ... tis is an obsolete wood .... Steel strings and if I'm not wrong is between 16-20strings.

can only used to decorate CAFE or auction after another 30yrs if there is another GZ freak collector.

where about are u in States?

u can get the Zheng from http://www.soundofasia.com/  call the owner Carol and she is more than happy to
help you.

mention your info is via the owner of the Scarlet Bird #10B; she will knows is from me.

In fact I FedEX one Zheng from her 2yrs ago; California to KampungKUL instead of from PRC.
