faceless...I'm inspired that for a non-chinese educated person like you...you appreciate our Chinese roots eg chinese musical instruments, chinese art and even Chinese Opera.

You are right. Chinese Opera is a dying art. Maybe my Shanghai Angels can help play a role in reviving this dying art...but we can do it with a twist in ENGLISH so that more English speaking audience can appreciate it.

Why dont we get together during CNY for a fun jamming session? Faceless can play Guzheng, ALvin Dizi, La Bella play guitar, Subangman can sing, I can play Erhu/Zhongruan/Dizi. hehehe....seriously.

Yoong...the best persons to answer you are Subangman who has 2 daughters playing Guzheng...and Faceless who is also a expert.

faceless....wa..dont la scare yoong with an entry level guzheng at RM2,000. She can buy the baby guZheng for a few hundred RM only to try. It may not be as good as the Rm2, 000...but for a beginner who doesnt know if she will continue learning guzhend or drop out..the few humdred RM is well worth it.

try 1st lo...then only you will know.

klhc....true. A good Piano foundation will make learning other instruments a lot easier. Piano requires independant control from each hand. This trains the brain to multi task at the same time.

Reason you see soooooooooooooooooooo many millions of people play guitar is because guitar is many times easier than playing a piano.

Karenalvin...I play both instruments...so I do know what I am talking about. I am not biased to either side. I am a fair and neutral person.

I think its time we get together again. I met Subangman and faceless last year during Mei-mei's Mpo chinese concert. Didnt get to talk to you guys much...though Subang did buy me guiness and my lovely band member AManda another drink. Thanks again Subang!

I got to meet Subang,Faceless, Alvin and Labella during my bands Mpo concert last month....and it was heartwarming to see you folks supproting my Band though you hardly know me.

Yes...it's time to meet up again....and this time...we MUST learn from each other. Everyone has something to offer!

I will be there with all my fairytale Festival Band members!...on Sunday 3pm. Gosh...I need to but the tickets soon!. Hope still got!

Subangman...I have 4 extra tickets. Due to the silly on-line prob...I booked 4 tickets but ended up with 8!

IF your eldest girl is going for the Sunday 3pm (20?3)...she can buy from me...and sit with my Band members.
