We all something to offer others...be it big or small. English speaking GuZeng players are a rare breed, if you notice. Not to say Guzeng players dont speak English but that they generally speak Mandarin and Chinese dialects a LOT than us.

Faceless...we humans have a lot to learn from each other. God made us unique. Really....every person has something to offer others....no matter how 'high' we think we are...there is always room for more improvement

faceless..keyboard stand is tougher than you realize. Many guZheng players use it. NO prob at all.

Life is short. Learn GuZeng NOW! :-)

My SHANGHAI ANGELS Band was invited by MPO to perform a Concert on 8th Dec 2010 in their Concert Hall! The whole Concert will be my Band. Hmm...still thinking whether or not to take it up. It is a wednesday night show.

We felt honoured to be given the invitation....but dont know if my 3 lovely girls will feel the pressure of performing in such a high class venue.

You are right Subangman. My girls said they are up to the challenge!

Faceless...thanks for your positive comment. I got an email from MPO people asking for my latest band FAIRYTALE FESTIVAL BAND. They prefer a non-Chinese repertoire on 8th Dec....though we can still perfrom 2 Chinese Folks songs.

FAIRYTALE FESTIVAL BAND features Clarinet, Mandolin, Irish Tin Whistles, Chinese Flute, Violin and Keyboard. Interestingly....this Band comprise of the same members from Shangai ANgels...thanks to our ability in playing multiple instruments.

SUbangman...sure...but weekends I am not free until CNY!

I play Zhonghu, Erhu, Dizi, GuZheng and ZhongRuan. The hardest of all is the ZHonghu ad Erhu. It's not for the faint hearted! This bowing instrument requires discpline.

When the bridge is left on the snake skin for more than 3 months without playing, the stress from the string pessure will gradually rip the skin. Once the skin is destroyed, there's way to you can reapir it...unless you change the skin. This is easier said than done. Where the heck can you kill a Phyton...and how do you know the way to skin it and glue it to the erhu?

That's why it's only logical to throw that erhu away and buy a new one.

La bella...you, as an advanced classical guitarist..you wont find any prob learning GuZheng.

Faceless...yes! We're gonna perform 'AROUND THE WORLD' Folk and Pop songs.
