Cassie,
I never been to a philharmonic concert. Having only been to rock and heavy metal concerts, I had my own ignorance. In these concerts, you want get near enough to see and if possible touch your idol. Not much attention is paid to sound quality. As long as it the volume is at the right level for you to groove to it. In contrast, sound quality is the thing to look for in philharmonic concerts. Your explanation was clear. I understood it. It about sound and echo in a hall.
yup yup... in rock concerts, the nearer the better.. when choosing my seats for my idol concerts, i did the same thing as well.. I never been to a philharmonic concert. in concert halls, is all about echo, quality, balance, etc etc.. eventhough i've been in there few times, i did not really try all the good seats yet.. so cannot really compare actually.. haha.. what i know is only the expansive seatings often have the best sounds quality..
if i'm wrong, i hope someone will correct me ya! haha
