But i felt that studying in Australia was much more relaxing when compared to studying in Malaysia. Cause most subjects in Malaysia emphasize memorizing while in Australia was application of what u learn. That is my experience biggrin.gif

i think most unis have their pro and cons. It is just based on what you want to get when you go to Australia.
Definitely, certain unis have better reputations than others. However, you have to also consider your budget, family (if you have relatives there).

So if you have a restricted budget, you should look at smaller unis outside of the city centre since that would bring down the cost of living by as much as half if you stay in CBD.

But if budget is not an option, just consider which course would be more tailored to what you want. You can always go through the three unis website to see what is the course like, then maybe you can narrow down. Because the subjects might be slightly different.

Did you manage to go to IDP open day last month? That is also a good place to ask the uni representative of the courses, how is the campus life there and so on...

dont worry if you have no friends going with you, you will make new friends.
That is the whole point of going abroad, to learn and experience something new and be independent.

Do anyone know how much per week for accomendation rate nearby UOW? Furthermore, how much for part time minimum wages for, such as waitress or shop assisstant thr?

It depends if you want uni accommodation or just rent a unit/room. The place that i stayed was about AUS$160/week which include all the bills plus a cleaner [when I was there in 2008]. It was 5 mins walk to UOW. It depends if you want to stay near the uni or the city centre as the city is about 30mins walk from UOW. However, now they have the free shuttle that runs from UOW to city centre.
I think rental for uni accommodation is more expensive and it is located in a suburbs called Fairy Meadow which is about 30mins walk. There is a shuttle bus from there to the uni as well but not too sure on the bus schedule.
Usually uni accommodation are self catered with some offering full bordering if not mistaken.
