Hi im just got my result..

i have 5As 5Bs for my result

Which 1 can i apply for any university of Australia?

im interested in art
*
What art are going into? msg me in private if u want to talk, cause i can give u insight, i might give u harsh decision to quit art :-P

Also with that result, i would really recommend u study other field such as lawyer, engineering or doctor. Like some of the lowyat peoples had said, you could study in your local college for a couple of year then go to Pre-U.

In term of art, in Malaysia graphic work and illustration work have not too many are good, and can be easily scored distinction. If you really interested in Art, better off go to MIT and One academy in Malaysia, the lecture there will give u harsh word of advise on how the world of art and design work. After of couple of year, if you feel confident enough and decide to come to Australia, the standard of art will be how to say this, "up the notch" depending which university you have pick, there is this book of top 50 university in Art, if you really want to be pro, pick one of these university. There are well... some tutor are racists toward Asians, so pick your tutor well, fortunate for me... i pick the tutor who had went to work in Asia, before they becoming lecture/tutor, therefore understanding my M'sia slang, cultures and design work. icon_rolleyes.gif

I thought Australia University's makes new rules about IELTS, you'll need at least to score 6.5/7 to get into Australia University.

For English course, Study in Malaysia cost much much cheaper, go find British council in KL and ask for IELTS course, the teachers there are all "white", in cantonese term "gua lou". tongue.gif

Ask for Australia teacher, so that you can understand Aussie slang when you are in Australia.

why u want to take English course in Australia, it costs like AUD 7k. Also September almost the end of the semester, i would recommend apply around December, the first term always start on end of the Feb or starting of March.

Exetel's plans are on a 12 month contract. They're not too bad, seeing that off-peak is 12midnight to 12 noon, and any data downloaded in that time frame does not count to your data allocation.
*
Wrong, offpeak hours start at 2am to 12 noon.

QUOTE(v2Rustie @ Aug 19 2010, 11:15 AM)
hi guys, im looking forward to continue my degree (bach of communications) in australia. my choices are either griffith uni (gold coast) or uni of quennsland (brisbane) being that i have some relatives living in gold coast its easier to have a little company especially over the weekends. the things is, i cant decide amongst these two. 1st of all, UQ is ranked number 4 (in whole of aus) according to my research and its under the group of 8 (the eight top uni of aus) while griffith falls under the top 20. my question is, is going to a more prestigious uni any good in this situation? UQ vs GRIFFITH as i may put it. my considerations not only falls on having relatives in gold coast, as fees is a matter too. the fees by studying in brisbane is roughly 15k aussie more compared to griffith. can some1 who is studying either in griffith or UQ help me on making this decision?

Hello V2Rustie,

I graduated from Griffith University, i have no idea in UQ, none of my friends who study at UQ, therefore i couldn't give u any feedback but i do recommend you look at QUT, it is quite good uni. Fun fact: Griffith University is one of the top 5 uni in Art/media advertising.

Now if you pick Griffith University, i feel that the grade is easy to pass, considering you follow their courses guideline. About Bachelor of communications, i think you need to decides yourself, i believes education at Griffith are quite good, the only thing you need to worry that less Malaysian will pick Griffith, majority are either H.K, Taiwanese or China. So.... i guess you need to speak Cantonese and Mandarin to communicate with them, they can speak English but not that well. Well, you need to make friends to help you in hard time right? =)

Okay, majority of Malaysian will pick UQ, i think that is a lot of recommendation college recognize UQ and feel that it is appropriate to study your college recommendation since you have no idea what good uni in Australia and feel unsecured to study other uni. That's pretty normal, so no worries.

Um, yes you can used your diploma if it is related, you could apply for credit transfer, like i did. I didn't have to study 1 years and the half. (smiley face for me) =D

so, good luck, enjoy your time in Australia, go clubbing often, go hangout with other international student, like me. =)

Hmm i was going to study Master in Industrial Design but then thing doesn't turn out as planned. I think u should look at NZ uni, because i think NZ has better Design background. LOTR FOREVER!
