QUOTE(KVReninem @ Feb 11 2011, 10:51 AM) few mates on unwired, few mates on iprimus, few mates on iinet..few on TPG(they catch you if you dl from them) ...so yeah. depends which cater for your needs. You mean if you're using TPG and you download from sites like Megaupload or Mediafire, you will get caught?

QUOTE(december88 @ Feb 11 2011, 11:17 PM) Generally no. Mostly confined to torrents. Usually TPG will forward the warning letter to your email from the company who suspected your activities. I think after 3 letters TPG will d/c you connection. Virgin uses Optus's network. Suggest you used prepaid in the mean time, don't think a lot of ppl used Virgin. Easy for you to change other provider down the road instead of being tied on a contract unless you go postpaid and BYO phone. Coz I have been downloading from TPG for 2 years already and no problem so far. So was just wondering

QUOTE(kwh1989 @ Feb 13 2011, 10:49 AM) i been using tpg for 2 years, but 2 months ago, i received their 1st warning letter, its quite random. after that, they didnt email me anymore. tpg is still lenient, iinet on the other hand is quite strict, and last year there are a few cases where those who get caught were fined a few thousands AUD. Where do you normally download from? File sharing sites or Torrent?

So I'm currently on a Bridging Visa A and just applied for a Bridging Visa B to go overseas. Good news is it was approved. My question is do I need to have a Visa label in my passport to show my status or do they have it stored electronically? Coz I sent my application through mail and I got my reply via e-mail. Thanks!

QUOTE(odin556 @ Jun 17 2012, 12:22 AM) gonna head to Melbourne in July. any suggestions on how to improve my experience there? traveling, accommodation, entertainment, etc ? Just rent yourself a car, head over to the nearest travel kiosk and grab some brochures. Then you can plan your own roadtrip. For accomodation, just stay in those budget inns as they are quite clean.
