I'm doing my master in renewable energy. You can try searching for rooms at http://perth.gumtree.com.au/, or you can post what you want there (for free

I don't want to get into trouble, so no names here. But if you go to the suburb next to murdoch (kardinya), there's really only 1 pure chinese restaurant
Edit: I went back to the restaurant to get my pay and guess what - "Oh, we don't pay for just 1 day of work." And she sounded happy saying that. My fault, my fault. Maybe I should get nasty and contact the law enforcers This post has been edited by gome: Jul 7 2011, 02:07 PM |

I've been in Perth for year and man...kids now a days really don't know how to keep clean. I've been moving from house to house every 6 months and living with these untidy kids really drive me nuts. If anyone from murdoch uni is looking for a clean housemate next semester, do let me know

QUOTE(haya @ Mar 5 2012, 11:17 AM) I hear you brother. Moving twice in a year is no fun, and finding tidy people to live with can be impossible these days. Why are people so terrible? I've tried that. The first time, I moved to a house with a female and a couple, they were ok - the cleanest experience I had actually. But the girl couldn't stand me having the door opened...probably feeling insecure as it was supposed to be an all-girl house The best you can do is to try and have female housemates. I'm not saying there are no untidy females or tidy males, but more likely than not girls are tidier. The second time I moved, there's a girl and a guy, and it's horrible. They leave their dishes, together with the food scraps, on the sink and on the bench on the pretense of saving water, because they always wash in bulk. Good excuse for being lazy. QUOTE(rickrick @ Mar 5 2012, 09:48 PM) mayb i can help u for next sem, my current place is the best man. Hi ya man. I'm doing my MSc in renewable energy. I'm probably not easy to live with given that I expect a relatively high level of cleanliness Good housemates, except for a new oz gal. keep complain about stuff.. i've been living in tis house for 1.5y, clean, quiet, everyting u need in a house, aircond, internet, pretty big house. wat course u doin man ? |

Minimum wage is age-based I believe. Secondary school kids earn about $8/hour in fast food as far as Perth is concerned. Mature age (above 21) gets you about $16.50 in fast food. I thought those warnings about working in Asian restaurants (especially china men owned) were a myth - I ended up learning the hard way...

A very useful site to search for room rentals (and other stuff too): www.gumtree.com.au. I guess the area closest to UWA is Crawley. So here you go http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-real-estate/cr...h/c9296l3008496. Rentals are normally sub $200/week for a room, but I always limit my search to those below $150/week (call me cheapskate if you will, I rent a $105/week room). But remember, cheap or expensive, everything comes with a price (as in good and bad).
