Hi all,

I'll be going to Perth in July to further my studies.
I am aware that in July, it will be Winter.
Could anyone here suggest me what to bring over as a preparation for Winter? smile.gif

HAHAHA!! Dude, why skinnies in particular? LMAO. I guess everyone in Aussie is quite busy during this coming month as finals are approaching. Libraries are ALWAYS full with students and all the computers are occupied almost all the time. Even those in secluded areas. =[ Many assignments are due in this 2 weeks. Crazy weeks man. Good luck to those with assignmentS and testS.  rclxub.gif

haha! also because the libraries are warm! really efficient heaters... xD
cuz i'm using skinnies.. haha! exams and assignments piling man.. that's just crazy..

Students' best friends are the lecture notes and textbooks at this moment. After June, beers, spirits and pubs, if u like, hot chicks too, will be our best friends!!!! Can't wait. =p The choices of beer here is crazy.... and wine too! =] I already stocked up some whiskeys in my room. "Just in case"

haha! cheers mate!! =D it's a good thing though, at least student's have their priorities inclined towards grades. knowing how to balance fun and studies pose as a challenge for a handful of them.. haha!

I'm thinking of building my own desktop here in Australia, would it be wiser to get the parts from M'sia and bring it in with my luggage or just get the parts here? If I get it from M'sia, would I need to remove them from the original boxes?

At the current exchange rate vis-a-vis the MYR/AUD, yeah, if you can bring the parts over, its much cheaper purchasing them in Malaysia than in Australia. Just be quick with HDD's: the Thai floods are pushing up prices for mechanical hard drives.

I don't understand the rationale for removing the parts from the original boxes.

Alright, i'll head back to M'sia and get it then. Oh! That's because I heard that if you keep them in the box, the customs would charge you tax or stuff like that. Are you aware of such things? My friend told me to remove them from their boxes and give it an anti-static wrap.
