Morning all, I plan to get Wii for my daughter's upcoming birthday, as I am an absolute noob in this, need your advice on:
1) I plan to get the Wii console + Wii Fit and what is a must for multiplayer gameplay? Wii Remote? Wii MotionPlus? Nunchuk? Other?
2) Any difference among console? Japan? Korea? US?
3) Recommended games?
4) Any other precaution that i should look into?

The US version supports up to 150 kgs. I sell that.

Nah, nothing of the sort. Just make sure u take off the plugs when ur not playing it or during a storm. You don't want to get it struck by lightning since that would void all sorts of warranty.

in kuching 99% of the shops sells modded wiis. U will have a hard time finding unmodded wii there.

why is it like that? i don't know. sellers (especially sellers in sarawak) tend to think wii is like ps2. but it is not. u will have a harder time with a modded wii then a modded ps2. even in kl the sellers think the same, but to a lesser extend. i know kyoyagami is not part of the 99%

My advice, unless u are a mod enthusiast, buy unmodded wii. modded wii is not user friendly, up to a point u can destroy it if u dono what u doing.

I have a softmodded wii (wii modded without any modchips), and it's hell whenever a new firmware update appears.

Best to buy ori, stay ori with the Wii. Quite worth it, I never regret any of my original buys for my Wii

Be sure to get at least another extra set of Wiimote + Nunchuck.
And get Wii Sports Resort. Buy the one that comes with MotionPlus, and get an additional MotionPlus if you are getting an extra remote.

Even with Wii Sports and Resort, will last you a long long time in great gameplay

now that i have a ps3 i see how important it is to go original, i already have 3 ps3 games, and all are 2nd hand, and spend less then 300rm on them. if wii, i will be paying through my nose coz 1. no 2nd hand, 2. must pay courier charges.

There is one minor overheating issue. Turn Standby Connection in WiiConnect24 off. You can risk overheating if you leave Standby Connection on and you don't unplug the Wii. no la. modded wii can play ori games. and mooded wii can have dlc.

if u dunno that..better get ori since it can be a hassle for u in future.
