Dear Fellow experts,

Writing to get some advice on the above 2 model.
I saw at panashop the P model is going for 24xx and L for 28xx.

Am no expert on this but, am not sure which to get a plasma or lcd?.
Both have their good and their bad. Will be using it to watch astro most
of the time, no gaming, but maybe will in the future.

The only thing holding me back on the plasma is the power consumption, heat
and maybe if the screen will last as well as the screen burn ins.

Unless got other brands within the same price range that i should consider?

Thanks in advance.

Last time when I decided to buy tv, heat issue, possibilities of burn in & power consumption are also problems that bothering me, so far I have used the P42S10 for about half year, I'm really satisfied with it, the heat issue & power consumption is not as serious as what I thought initially, not to mention that I have no air-con, I'm using normal fan only...so dun worry about it, for movies purpose, go for plasma P42S10, you'll not regret!

Hope my little experience & opinion would help you smile.gif

Well that's the current price for X10 model-lah smile.gif . X10 can't be cheaper than S10 kua?

Anyway, if you put S10, X10 & even C10 side by side...have any one of you see any diff? For me None..All the 3 giving the same reso & PQ to my nooby eye blush.gif

Probably only the marketing hype saying S10 having Full HD but lower Mhz at 550, & the X10 series having 3 HDMI port which older C10 only 1... hmm.gif

I just paid deposit for the P42s10k, the price is RM3399 with 3 years warranty and HDMI cable comes free with it.

If you want it with Pana Blu Ray player, it'll cost around RM41xx.

The shop is placed here in CSH Electrical here in Sungai Petani Kedah
Yeah, I know it's far away from your place, but do try contact the person named Thiban, maybe he can help you guys. Here's his number 016-4407353. Last time my friend bought a plasma from KL, the shop charged him RM100 to post to Kedah but that was 2 years ago.

I'm not the shop's salesman or something, just trying to help you guys, cheers~

Just saw TH-L42S10K at Best Denki KLCC. Offer price is RM2999. Once calibrated (or as close as I can come to it in bright store lights), the picture is very nice. No overscan, which is nice indeed.

HOWEVER, when running the 7669 code on a Sony/Columbia BD (Easter Egg calibration menu), the company name address not legible. Don't know why.

appreciate your advise with this..

STill no valid real reason why the S series withdrawan from the market but not the X & even the older C series...Something wrong wth this model liao.....I am suspecting proabably the burn-in issue reported in another thread "Panansonic screen burn"

Reason. All cases of such screen (Currently) burn only on S series....

Well this is just my 2 sen small brain hypothesis hor..dun flame after this haha
