 suggestion on good HT model around 3-3.5k

i'am deciding to buy HT to watch movie with my sammy 40lcd and plays game with my Xbox 360. the problem is there are too many brands out there and i didn't know which brand should i choose. so far i decide to stick whether with pioneer or sony brands. can someone out there plz give me some suggestion on which model should i buy with these 2 brands or other brands also if u can. for ur information my budget is around 3k-3.5k. rclxub.gif

If you have Pioneer brand in mind, then try to find some info from the Pioneer thread.

Some forumer do posted the package they get which should fall within your budget. It still depend on what you expect from your HT. HTiB have less option to upgrade in future.

You can check out the new Sony Super Mu.Te.Ki system HTDDW5500...goes for that price (RM2999).

I only mention this because it comes with a Bluray player (BDP-S360) free!
Since the Bluray player cost RM1500...means that you are using the HT set for RM1.5K...and you are getting loads of stuff!!..more than enough fire power for a medium size room

You can't find it in the Sony webpages for that offer, so need to go to Sonystyle shop to grab a catalog and checkout the Audio section.

Only thing it doesn't have is Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio which is quite impossible to get at such a price

I would certainly grab that offer!
Take note of the specs and Digital Inputs for any HT set...prepare for the future you as might be buying more stuff that needs digital inputs.
