i want to ask what means by demo set, for example demo set htc touch diamon?d. can this device operate? any disadvantage of demo set?

Its like test unit... for the customer to test the phone

so.. how we know that is demo set or not?

if u can smell shit on it, that's the demo set

1. Demo sets are real phones which is available for customer testing purpose, usually provided upon launching of the devices by manufacturers, u wont get demo sets from suppliers or phone shops.

2. Dummy sets are real look-a-like phone in terms of weight, keypad and the case itself. The phone will feature no electronic mainboards or battery, therefore u cant turn it on.

So were you offered a demo set because the real set is out of stock or what?
Well, disadvantage is, it's not new.

when u walk in nokia or se center, u can seee a lot of real display set just put there for customer to try ... that r demo set.
some ppl just used it mayb 1week or few days, but the condition still like new may condiser open box or demo set..

yeah its those units displayed at shops for walk in customers to touch/press/feel them. its exactly like what you get in a new phone, but with the fact that everyone else has touch and pressed the phone. hence, the price is cheaper.

demo set is for testing wan .
open box n used for a week or a month but condition like new is recon set .

Usually demo set is hold by distributor for demo to dealer and if dealer see the potential of the phone thru demo then they will order stock from distributor. Beside, it got written demo and not for sale. Tat is demo set.

Those phone on the rak u see in hp shop is call display set.

i never hear hp shop got give hp for testing simply because customer will run away with their phone.

demoset better then used set... in term of the housing conidtion... mayb 99% new...

at last, i noe wat is demo set...
i thought demo set got some spec that not truly like ori..
i mean, if the phone stated internal memory 16gb, and demo set got only 8gb..
pity me doesn't know it well...
