Still has more work to do, reversing the whole software and stuff. I wonder whether does this affect the Slims or not?

Yep, I knew that new revision numbers will be the 2nd digit in the model number.

Proof - CECH2100A

QUOTE
While Sony isn't saying anything on the matter, PocketNews confirms that the latest PS3 SKU -- CECH-2100A spotted in the FCC back in February -- uses an improved RSX graphics chip based on smaller  40-nm processes similar to the PS3 Slim's new 45-nm Cell processor. The result is a 15 percent decrease in console power consumption when compared to the 120GB CECH-2000A PS3 Slim sporting a 65-nm RSX. The cooler running chip allows for a stealthier heat sink and power supply in addition to a smaller cooling unit.

EDIT: Added power consumption from here.

U do know mkv its just a container for avi rite?.. and u do know theres other filetypes oso have HD format rite?..

And best of all.. those filetype compressions, where can compared to full fledge bluray with contain like 40+ gb of information vs 8+ gb (mkv, avi, mp4 etc.) or less...  sweat.gif

.mkv is not just a container for .avi files. You are correct regarding the container part but 99% of the time, .mkv will contain 2 files which is a video stream, and an audio stream. 3 or more if you count the subtitle(s) and chapter files.

Usually the video layer is AVC or h.264 and as for the audio it depends on the encoder him/herself which can comprise of AC3/MP3/M4A/OGG/AAC and so on and so forth.

So no, .mkv is not a container just for .avi files. It can contain almost any type of video file along with multiple audio and multiple subtitle streams.

The advantage of .mkv is that you can have multiple audio streams and also subtitles in one file and also it's the preferred container for AVC and h.264 streams today although once in a blue moon, you can see some idiot encoding h.264 videos to .avi which isn't officially supported.
