Yeah, i am using the Pakite 2.4hgz wireless solution, so far its pretty good, purchase from KABA. Mine is double storey house...Decoder downstairs, 2nd TV upstairs. However, its not 100% trouble free, just some minor annoyances:
i) Occasional interference to the signal when something/someone is around the receiver..can't pinpoint why..
ii) If have many electrical source/wirings close to the receiver, and power on at the same time...might occur static interference too.
iii) The infrared transmitter has to be precisely located at the Astro beyond, for the channel changing feature to work flawlessly. I just stick and face it to the Beyond decoder..this may require trial and error. This maybe the most frustrating part to get it right..so, be forewarned.
iv) Reports of possible interference with WiFi, but i am not sure about this. So far, those normal modem like p1 seems no conflict with it.
Good things about it:
i) Probably the simplest and less messy solution.
ii) No HD quality pictures, but Astro HD channel available..quality wise, its SD quality. HD channel's SD quality is slightly better than normal SD channel. But i prefer to watch it on SD channels becoz it's scaling is normally full screen, but under if HD channel...it will project the movies with top & bottom black bar.
So, hope some info on the my experiences helps...
To me, its worth it, not having to pay extra monthly fees to Astro...albeit have to watch same channels for two TVs.
Actually the quality of pictures surpassed my expectations... My personal opinion is if the second tv is smallish, like 32/37/40 inch LED/LCD...then the picture quality should acceptable...
