I've just installed Byond.
From Byond to Plasma Tv - Hdmi Cable.
RCA Cables from byond-- connect to Universal (taiwan) AV Rf convertor.
Convertor to coaxil Cable to 2tv.
2nd tv picture very clear, sound excellent but when I switch to HD channels, HBO HD, etc, 2nd tv upstairs has no sound.
I can only get sound with the normal channels.
Any suggestions to get sound on 2nd tv while watching hd channels?

You have to manually go to byond sound setting and change from dolby 5.1 to stereo, everytime you change to HD channel. This method is only good if both of your TVs are using Tv speakers for stereo sound.

But If you have dedicated AVR and surround sound system (5.1/7.1) then this will be troublesome, unless you u only want stereo sound from your HD channel instead of 5.1.

Please buy hdmi splitter 1 in 2 out. So simple ...

I just realized that the HDMI splitter only use 5V adapter, what a waste of 3pin socket just for the adapter

i wonder if we can just plugin the power from the astro decoder usb port using the below jack to power up the splitter
