QUOTE(karheng @ Feb 20 2010, 06:46 PM) just for sharing. i heard that these wireless av trasmitter is using 2.4ghz.. same as wifi... hence... ur wifi may get some kind of "cross signal" and may not be able to transmit data to/from ur laptop at full speed/capacity... dunno true or not..I noticed that AEM unit need cable to connect to 2nd TV. Saw it selling at RM69 at ACE hardware. So i decided to go for wireless. i just bought wireless AV sender at RM175, won from lelong bidding. My Astro byond now connect to 1st LCD TV using HDMI. red/white/yellow from astro byond connect to wireless transmitter. 2nd LCD TV connect to wireless receiver. Ready to watch. The only thing i still not able how to change channel at 2nd TV because the IR at both side not working. also found that the wireless receiver cannot put near to WIFI modem, it will make noice to the TV. I don't mind the 2nd TV watch in normal video input, even not the HD. this item can go for 100 meters. |

QUOTE(limshihao @ Mar 10 2010, 12:34 PM) I have a WIRELESS FULL HD TRANSMITTER running at 5GHZ , so it wont interfere with all the normal IT appliances. I use to broadcast FULL HD quality from my living hall to my bedroom upstairs, and it work just great. HD quality. It has HDMI input at the sender and receiver. COOL! kewl... how much is it? brand? model? i suppose it also acts as remote extender? pls share more...thanks... |

QUOTE(eMKs @ Mar 10 2010, 01:07 PM) should be... as he/she said "you can have your byond box, blue ray dvd player connect to it" ... if not HDCP compliant i believe byond won't work... limshihao, how expensive is "quite expensive compared to normal analog AV"? i know the normal analog wireless one would cost from RM200++... any hint or ballpark figures perhaps? actually i'm in the process of buying a house... would be renovating the house in april/ may... already thinking of laying CAT6.. get the HDMI to CAT6 converter... i've a rough idea on the cost... so if this solution could be around the same cost.. i'd definitely use this wireless thingie as it would be easily moved anywhere... but if too much different... wired may still be preferred options as to in would guarantee stability (i suppose?)... some pictures would be nice too... i know u can't mention the brand name... but if i guess correctly.. can u nod? eheheheh... is the name sounds like a tall animal with long neck? ehehehe.... |

QUOTE(ah_chak @ Mar 11 2010, 11:05 AM) i just wire a Cat5E cable from the byond box to my room tv upstairs and use 3 out of 4 pair (Yellow/Red/White) as composite.. works perfectly.. u connect directly without Balun? i thought the impedance between the RCA and Cat5E are different? anyway... since got real working case.. great... |

QUOTE(eMKs @ Mar 17 2010, 09:55 AM) Yeah, it's still copper but different impedance. Cat5 is twisted pair cable, impedance is about 120 ohm. Coax is 75 ohm, with 1 core in the middle & the other as a skin. Wonder why you get perfect signal. Exactly my point... but hey... if it's working.. i won't complaint... eheheh... i've never done it myself.. but if it works.. i'll do it also... of course... i'll try on small scale first... this really makes me wonder if all the theories i read all this while are 100% true or not... not just on this thing.. but others as well... ehehehe... |
