I had a similar experience with the Sphex not long ago. I stuck the thing on my table which is wooden, and when I peeled it off 2 months later, it no longer sticks. All the sticky materials are either on my table or covered in old lacquer. My table now has a lot of little dots on it where the Sphex used to be.

I still think the Sphex is a good mousepad though. Tracking and glide is rather good for a lower-end Razer mousepad. I gave it to my friend (to use with his old DA) though it no longer sticks as good as before. To solve the non-stickiness issue, I reccomended him to use blue-tack to stick the corners of the mouse pad. I used to do that for my old battlepad pro (not sure if u guys know about this one).

About the wearing down of the feet, I feel it's about the same as a Destructor. I'm currently using the Imperator with a Destructor and it looks to me like the amount of wear on the feet is the same as when I was using my old Mamba(already RMA-ed and sold) with a Sphex.

No, I got a brand new one. I thought it was a used one too until I checked the bottom (when my friend/buyer opened it). Perfect condition. No scratches at all. Haha what a surprise.

Hmm. I strongly disagree with ur 'claim' that best gaming mouse is razer's. Yes, razer mice might as well be the best looking mouse out there, but when it comes to quality control, they're worse than microsoft mice. Ive had headaches with my ex Deathadder (bought twice, RMA-ed twice), Mamba (uneven battery cap, lacklustre battery life), Lachesis (wheel scroll problem), Barracuda (no sound at left side of cup), Exactmat (the surface already 'haus', all the four rubber feet are peeled off), Goliathus (threads peeling off the surface), Tarantula (all the alphabet keys are faded totally), Lycosa (extremely dimmed backlighting, unresponsive media touch panel). The driver sucks, they barely works. I have to admit i was once crazy fanboi of Razer products, i bought almost all of their products (as of the list above), but their build quality are gradually degrading which really turned me off.

Hard surface mats, razer, u're sure about that? Ive posted some pics of my gone and lost (and thrashed) exactmat in the old version of LYN Razer thread (the good old times when there were no SPAMMERS with their incomprehensible English who chit chat about prices, irrelevant and unconstructive comments/posts when they can ask through Personal Message). The hard surface of the exactmat are so 'haus' that they even look like the smooth side of the exactmat even after 2-3 months of normal usage.

So, no offence, but i just have to blurt my voice out. The only 'good' Razer mouse out there is Boomslang.

Finally got my Mamba...
It's already a week but have only used it for few days...
From my point of view (comparing to Copperhead)
-love the size of the mouse, suits my hand nicely..
-Wireless Rocks!
-Love the design of the mouse and the docking station is freaking awesome
-Very smooth and Fast(5600Dpi  )
-Nice Packaging
-rubber grip at the sides
-pulsing lights from the dock

Things i didn't like
-No pulsing Razer logo on the mouse(i know this would make the battery die faster but no pulsing logo!)
-It'll go to sleep by itself which i don't mind but it's a bit too fast..
-It gets dusty at the bottom quite fast compare to my copperhead
-mousefeet quite thin and no extras from Razer
-Wish the dock was a bit bigger

Overall quite a good mouse but still pricey
It's just like DA but with wireless...
