Bumped thru these FICD thinggy.Is that really support stabilize engine idling.

Example ;

For myvi 1.3 Manual,sure most of the user had experience these jerking/pulling when aircond turned on while alternator making noise such as aeroplane 'WEEEE'.

Does these FICD help much stabilized idle/throttle problem ?
Mind share any experience on it .
Suggestion must appreciate.

yes can say so... FICD is used to increase/decrease idle rpm when aircond switchover... it is not used to stabilizes idle rpm...

it works if ur standard ficd is broken down....otherwise it serves no purposes for having 2 ficd in the same car

normally happen to mmc o proton to use toyota ficd

makaveli,
Not only MYVI 1.3, in fact most cars below 1.8L will feel the pinch.

If you want more power,simple, don't turn on the aircond. thats the simplest idea to release more power. No more 'sucks and lousy' power.

Also, it's not just only the air-cond compressor to be blamed, your alternator also plays the part to supply big electric current supply to the air-cond compressor also,
hence it will also drag the engine.

So there are 2 items dragging the engine.

Also, you don't need additional FICD, the ECU in modern cars such as MYVI, will do the job of the FICD. It does not improve engine performance.
Anyway, FICD is only effective when you are idling at the traffic light and your engine is below 1500RPM.Above that RPM and the FICD is useless.

switch on aircond power drop is normal.... aircond compressor runs via belt pulley powered by ur engine... when u switch on the aircond, compressor creates a load which slows down the engine rotation...
