KUANTAN: A jobless man was charged at three magistrate's courts with cheating seven people over the past four months to hand over various sums of money to buy laptop computers.
Mohd Azizee Abdullah, 31, from Alor Akar here, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
In the first court, Azizee was charged with accepting RM500 from a victim at a restaurant in Jalan Kuantan-Kemaman here about 11.15pm on Sept 26 and RM500 from another victim at Al-Farabi clinic here about 9pm the following day.
Magistrate Iriane Isabello allowed bail at RM10,000 in one surety.
In the second court, Azizee faced two charges -- cheating a person of RM600 in Lorong Sungai Isap 2 at 8.45pm on Oct 25 and another person of RM550 at Sungai Isap Jaya here at 7.30am on Dec 22.
Magistrate Nor Zaihan Mohd Ali set bail at RM6,000 in one surety.
At the third court, Azizee faced another three charges -- cheating one person of RM550 at the Bandar Indera Mahkota 2 Tunas Manja supermarket here about 11.30pm on Oct 20; cheating another person of RM600 at the main entrance of Mara Skills Training Centre in Batu 5 Jalan Gambang here at 9.45pm on Nov 13; and cheating a third person of RM700 at a foodstall near a petrol station at the 3rd mile of the same road about 2.30am the same day.
Magistrate Nordiana Abd Aziz set bail at RM7,500 in one surety.
All the charges will be mentioned on Jan 29.
Chief Inspectors Mohd Azman Ariffin and Mohamad Zakaria prosecuted.
Azizee, who was not represented, did not post bail.
