QUOTE(snake1x @ Jan 3 2010, 11:25 PM) Tip: If your TV have both HDMI and component connector available, connect both to your Byond decoder. Watch HD on HDMI and SD on component. SD channel more vivid and sharper on component. It does make a difference. so is confirmed and tested that byond will output signals out from hdmi, component, and composite simultaneously? |

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 4 2010, 02:03 PM) Holy shit...u got the same problem as mine.... top half screen of component got those distorted lines and composite shaking... i thought it was my cable prob....now since you have received the same problem as mine....i can conclude is that lemon decoder... anyway ive called astro...they are assigning a technician for me... could this due to simultaneous output effect?can try just component only (and set 576i if necessary) to see any distortion? |

imagine if this is common faulty for all byond component output then astro may face big issue as having a problematic decorder

QUOTE(utellme @ Jan 4 2010, 03:47 PM) I've have made report on thursday and the technician came to house on saturday with another new byond decoder, he can't solve that problem after swapping the decoder and cable, initially he claimed my component cable or TV input faulty, but after I shown him the DVD-Plasma connection via component cable and finally he admitted it's byond decoder problem. he called his manager so that his manager can give me a good explaination, well this rosak manager said the byond was design to make for HDMI work only and they have not tested the component out and he will report this to astro technical department. lol IF every byond decorder is having same problem and every byond user is complained to astro then will be very funMASS RECALL weeeeeeeee but this probably wont happen in BOLEH land i guess.. |

i think people are over excited with the only 4 HD channels by byond but ignoring 2 serious problems of byond that many have reported:
1) SD channels picture quality is poorer if watch via HDMI 2) byond component and composite output for many decorders (if not ALL) are having problem which mean you stuck with HDMI output and poorer SD channels via HDMI |

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Jan 6 2010, 01:16 PM) Ok guys! you try to say without update component is okay but after updated then problem or the other way?Astro service partner just came... and troubleshoot the component output problem. He brought a new box, and tested it, no problem, the moment he does automatic update and halfway through installation, the component output got distorted again. Heh...guess wat, its not the hardware problem, its the software problem... so those who complain about component output problem on your box... you guys need to wait patiently from astro for auto update... bleh As for why as soon as u plug in got auto update is due to the installer pressing some buttons on the from panel of the decoder... it will auto update instantly... or just let the decoder standby for sometime before auto update occurs. so now you have component OKAY or having problem? if is okay now can you test composite as well? |

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Jan 15 2010, 11:52 AM) already seen the new Byond advert... actually look at the ads is very funny if think in the way "you actually watching the comparison of HD and SD screen in SD mode"but not in HD version... just SD version... E! on channel 712 frequently show the advert.... already 2 times shown on E!... really nice advert and I wonder how it looks like in HD version... so far, haven't seen it on NatGeo HD, history HD and ASSP HD yet... means the excellent and beautiful pictures are actually shown to you in SD |
