dec 30: sms from cs with installer phone no.
dec 30: called installer but was told that went back home town, can only install on jan 4
jan 2: installer called for installation tomorrow at 11am, yipee !

but when told installer that I have two acc and requested for two connector at the new dish, he said he will install new dish and keep the old one for old decoder, told him that some lyn forumer able to use one dish for both new & old decoder, he said he never done it before, need to check with astro...

Can I put a splitter at the wall panel so that I can connect two decoder (i.e. one new & one old)? very leceh when want to switch between new & old smart card lah !

Spent RM11 on this splitter but found that it doesn't work ! connected both old decoder > s.video > tv and new decoder > hdmi > tv, can watch all channel on byond but when switch to old decoder, it display "service currently not available", no satelite signal at all.

Yes, I do have LNB with two connector (which I insist on it by telling the installer that some lyn forumer had it installed), one to my existing concealed cable for downstair, one to my bed room.
But, my MIL need to watch her hua hee tai from her own smart card, hence, i'm having two decoder downstair to swap the connection, thought this splitter can save all the hassle, sigh......

Does it mean that have to tune any SD channel before switching from the b.yond to old decoder? shall try it out tonight.

Thanks neb, problem solve !
It is true that LNB will be in high frequency when HD channel is selected, in fact, the LNB will be in high frequency even when the HD decoder is in standby mode !
So, whenever I want to switch to old decoder, I will tune to SD channel in HD decoder.
Now I don't have to plug and unplug the connection anymore.
