Sooooooooooooooooo sad
and a bit pi***d off mad.gif

today Byond installer called me at 9 am
say today want to come and install
then 930 am they call and say want to come now
940 they arrived
i open the gates
then waited for like 10 minute
the 2 installer never came out of their van
Finally one of them came out and said they cant install yet
seems that astro messed up the decoder serial number form
it did not match the decoder serial number
the installer said cant be done today
office close
damn..
was so close to enjoying football in HD tonite..
Astro screwed up..AGAIN
lat wednesday, installer came to install my 2nd decoder without bringing the decoder..
luckily the nice fella came back 2 hours later at 7pm to install
N now the Byond problem
So saaaadddddddd
sad.gif
*
Hopefully next time they don't forget to bring a ladder just like my installer. tongue.gif

how you control your tv volume? I mean just press vol+/- or need to press OK 1st?
*
You have push both button (OK and Vol+) until led blinking twice. After that u can just push vol+/- to control ur tv volume.

for who ppl turn off tv n ht using astro byond remote, when u turn on back, u need to switch back to hdmi problem!!!

i think u can try to slove this problem,

1st u off the tv n ht by astro byond remote button, then u turn off ur astro decorder.

when u want to turn on, press 'tv on' button 1st, after that u open ur astro decorder,

for me it is work, i'm using sony lcd n ht~~

good luck~~
*
I try and it not working. It like astro remote send channel 1 before it turn off a tv.

Right now I try to find speaker or speaker/HT that can support 5.1 from byond but i'm not expert with speaker/HT.
What requirement of speaker/HT can play 5.1 from byond?

BTW I'm not sure samsung home theatre HT-TX715T can play 5.1 sound from byond?

so stupid the astro decoder, how come cannot transmit DD5.1 over HDMI?

whereas for DVD player able to do so thru HDMI.

*
Agree.. transmit DD5.1 sound using HDMI is more better than coax.

I think below is best sequence fo audio cable

1- HDMI (very good)
2- Optical SP/DIF
3- Coax

Their have to provide RCA cable for user that used stereo.

I am getting DD5.1 through HDMI in Neo HD & History HD, Astro Super Sports HD mostly DD 2.0, why he say that??
*
Better u post a picture to proof byond can transmit DD5.1 via HDMI cable because someone said it cannot. notworthy.gif
Capture ur AVR screen. AVR can detect automatically what type of sound input such as DTS or DD5.1. biggrin.gif

thanks for the explanation. really helps, unfortunately pioneer HTZ-280 doesnt have optical input.
so mean no way to listen to 5.1 audio from astro byond.
PS: the rca part i dont quite understand   tongue.gif
*
U don't need optical input to get 5.1 from byond. What u need is coax digital input.
Byond box don't have optical. smile.gif
