Good news!! rclxms.gif AC Ryan just launch its newer HD Media Player which is smaller and look better.

I went to Lowyat the other day and checked out the mini, the build quality looks pretty good actually. Was about to buy it but then didn't have cash on me and didn't want to pay additional 2%. So went home and did some googling and found the mini on www.MooMooCow.com.my they are selling for only RM469 with free delivery !

digital mall also got. 400+ can't recall exactly. i like the fact that it can do all the big brother did except no coaxial input and media slot.

Yea, don't think I need a coaxial output. I think it can still accept media card readers into it's USB slots so no worries about that... not that I think I'll need em anyways.

Does anybody know if this is better than the WDTV Live player?

WD TV Live is Sigma and POHD mini is Realtek.... different capabilities altogether.

I don't think WDTV live has DTS audio downsampling either. Hence if you don't own yourself a DTS decoder, you won't be able to hear any sound at all if you've downloaded a HD movie. Which btw, most HD movies are encoded with.

I believe the AC Ryan PlayOn Mini has that downsampling feature.

Can we compare "ASUS O!Play HDR-R1" with "AC Rayn PlayOn HD Mini" ??
since both of them are using Realtek 1073DD Chipset.

which 1 do u think is the best?
