anyone in penang saw this model? i wonder what's the best offer here....

anyway any alternative to this model in case i couldnt find it? so far i read Denon 1909 (which i think discontinued) and 1910 is a match

You cannot top up and change the AVR as it is a package deal from Pioneer.

Should be able to handle Bluray player since the specs mention DTS/DD HD and HDMI repeaters.

Anyway, I think its overpowered for a small room, but you can always listen at lower volumes, furthermore, no need to upgrade for a while.
Regarding the price, I think its pretty much Pioneer standard.

nope they're not available in black. you might wanna go with todoroki set if you want black. that is if you could accept the design

The one I saw available currently at Courts Mammoth come with VSX-519 @ RM2599 but if you choose Option 60 payment mode, then got 'free' 32" LCD TV... tongue.gif

i reckon some outlet do have the htp-819 on display.
but not worth it IMHO. price difference between htp-519 and htp-819 is tooooo much

try comparing todoroki rs-60 and rs-70. the difference is just the AVR (speakers are the same), same like htp-519 and htp-819.
but htp-519 and htp-819 the price difference is much more than torodoki series.

today i went to harvey norman sunway and saw the todoroki speakers, i realy dont like the todoroki design, the design just wont fit in my leaving room design, saw the HTP-819SW also and test it , the sound was ok but could not test it fully coz the sub woofer ddnt work properly! most probly i think i will get the HTP-819SW . Now i need look for better price ! coz H.Norman still selling it at rm3599 and most probly can get discount abt rm150.

better get from av shop. sifu here always advise dont buy from big chain store.

problem is, hard to find av shop carry this model.
for the price of RM3.5k, i reckon it's better buying separately from AV shop. go audition the HTP-819, then go audition what RM3.5k could get you at AV shop
