You guys only push multi ka? Where is the old skool FSB clockers? tongue.gif

Anyone here push FSB and compensate multi? How many you guys manage to push on 955BE? I so far managed to push 270 then ram set to 667 so it matches as DDR1800

Nowadays we have BE and you can use multiplier like free but last time the old skool overclockers (myself included) have to stuck with a limited multi so we have to push FSB. Though many people argue they produce same results but having higher FSB does push for faster clock calculations.

And besides if u use multi u only have x10 or 10.5 for example, u have to push either +200Mhz or +100Mhz for half multi and that doesnt give u much control

If u push FSB yes it is still in multples of the multiple (if u get what i mean) but at least FSB u can push 1 unit a time, end result maybe ur clock speed is a weird number u get the maximum overclock.. ahh kepuasan blush.gif

955 to 965 is kacang... should push for the 4Ghz mark. Mine can only do 3.9Ghz stable though

But honestly kan, OC for me is only purely for hobby/otai-ness... nowadays I just enable AMD C&Q which the driver comes default in Windows 7. When idle, it goes to 800Mhz which is about 33~34°C. But honestly while surfing web why need to use all the unwasted power.. the vcore will be tuned down to 0.9. Save electricity and its nice to see cool temps
