check d function of 790fx/gx dan lain2 (malas nak google), eversince amd have their mc built in > imc, conventional nb is no longer takin care of memory related task.  smile.gif

if the IMC in cpu-nb.. what else reside in NB ar?
coz i saw some bios got SB n also pcie n also I/O voltage..

what i knew it's max out @ 2600.. beyond that not sure whether it's capable or not..
want to see whether the c3 can give benefit surpass 2600..

guess need to try it my self then..
thought u guys got the rig to try it out..
it's more or less when ur comparing 1600 n 2000 ram.. will not gain extra benefit like playing <1600..

some kind of wall limiting factor which hard to explain btw.. only through benchmarking numbers yes..

so it's kinda lucky spot to get a better timing i guess..if only manage to explore it.. though u all should knew well.. smile.gif

is that a typo there bro? should be a > instead of < rite?

i think i roughly understand ya request, but to do d test it's kinda complicated. nb freq is tied to cpu clock, at certain clock, we need to up nb freq to certain extent else d clock will be bottleneck by low nb freq. so in this case we just can't fix d nb freq as it's proportional to cpu clock.  smile.gif

if i misinterpret (again), pls correct me.  tongue.gif
*
later they put divider then pening.. rclxms.gif

not a typo.. smile.gif
we always playing 800-1600 with certain timing..
some tight ram timing can beat the high bandwidth with loose timing..
(in the scope of safe voltage) for just increasing the nb freq..

read here n there, observing not technically.. it's same like cpu where got certain stage cannot be pushed anymore.. (ofcourse it can be push but my view is for normal daily usage which is not to strain more on the hardware by increasing the extra voltage etc for just tiny speed increment..)

beyond that maybe cannot see any significant different on amd system..
and some reaching the wall.. so need to push by extra voltage.. that's why now mobo bios' flooded with extra voltages..

isolation for which part where can be tweaked.. too squeeze them to the max.. where we always leave them in auto..

we not only oc the ram n proc.. but also the bus, timing n also clockgen..
no wonder no one answer my Q.. don't ask me, i also donno.. lol..
haha AMD still remain mystery..

so for note, try harder to stabilize the
nb-freq > ram > htt in the help of cpu speed..
some may have limitation like u mentioned..
it's time for not only for a best gadget that we have..
but for the right hardware combination should optimize the setup.. wink.gif

*lol now i knew why AMD no high speed proc.. laugh.gif - waiting 6cores..

no bro, this chip belongs to one of a kiddo in vrz. i poisoned him to buy d chip, then he bought & tested yesterday on his colorful mobo, can't unlock. i feel abit guilty that's why i offer to test d chip, end up i was rite, d paria mobo can't unlock...  tongue.gif

just started blend test, will post result if no restart after 1 hour...  hmm.gif

Hello everyone,I need some guidance on oc-ing my 550BE.
I have unlocked it and OC-ed it to 3.4GHz.
Tried and think that 3.5Ghz is the max.
Any possibilities to increase anymore?
I tried using superpi that time and 3.6GHz cause some prob but didnt test on windows 7.
Does ram timing such  afffect?
And how to add voltage?

how u oc so far?
mind sharing what u set?

imo < 1.5v should be sufficient (for that chip, mine lousier) if load temp managed to keep under 50'c. from d sneak preview, w/ 1.46v iirc it managed to last 3x mins before reboot w/ load temp > 60'c...  sweat.gif

do i need a megamachalem/shadow? but to spend > $100 for a heatsink is just plain crazy...  doh.gif
*
sure eh becoz of temp? not becoz of other things..
sometimes i saw can surpass 60c..
