I'm using Zalman 9500LED. For the BIOS setting, I set the FSB(I think) to 215 and multiplier to x14. So 215 x 14 = 3010
For added stability, I set the CPU voltage to 1.35v. My ram setting is 5-5-5-15 @ 2.0v.
I hope this helps
As for the Sifu's. I hope u guys can help me decide a little. After a long research and consideration, I'm stuck between these Proc's and I don't really know which one to chose. I'm stuck between Athlon II 620, Phenom II 720Be and Phenom II 810.
Athlon II 620 is the most attractive in terms of price but I'm somewhat worried about the real life performance as it lack L3 cache.
I wanted Phenom II 720be originally but after doing extensive online research, its not much faster than Athlon II in synthetic benchmarks. But I believe it'll be faster in real life though....I hope :/sweat:
And then I noticed Phenom II 810, the most affordable quad core in Phenom II line. Its a little bit out of my budget but I'll manage it somehow. The thing is, it's only 4mb L3 cache instead of 6mb. Not sure how much impact it'll have in real life.
And now, I'm really stuck between these 3 Proc's. I hope that u guys can give me some advise. Thanks :/respect:
my thought on these chips:
x4 620 - confirmed quad, but mileage is poor to me, max out @ 3.4~3.5v w/ rather high volt.
x3 720be - mite have d chance of gettin unlocked, mileage wise slightly better than x2 620. unlocked multi is a plus
x4 810 - oc'ed decently in my 2 attempts, 900MHz oc from stock clock w/ minimal increment of vcore (< 1.325v) was a breeze i mite be lucky on both occasion but ppl say lightnin doesn't strike twice @ d same place

. worry not bout d 4mb cache, if u have core unlockin capable board u should be able to unlocked it to a full 6mb l3 chip.
another suggestion, why not get sis xixo's 550be which confirmed unlocked & oc greatly? i will always take proven stuff over new stuff anytime.
all in all, u need decent mobo regardless what chip u gonna pair it w/, it's pointless to get a decent chip but use it on a so so board. in contrary, if u got a decent board, u mite have d chance of bringin a so so chip into another level. luck do play some part in gettin a gud chip unless u buy those proven chip. for me, most if not all asus low-mid range board = can not make it. period. i'll take biostar/gigabyte/msi w/o a doubt. well, high end is diff thou.

Haha..Its not that easy to unlock actually. It really depends on ur luck :/D
The motherboard I'm planning to get would not allow me to unlock cause it runs on AMD770/SB700 chipset.
Because I'm on a really really really tight budget, I can't afford a better motherboard or processor :/cry:
it's not a gud choice but still it's ya call. we had done our part in givin opinions.

955 to 965 is kacang... should push for the 4Ghz mark. Mine can only do 3.9Ghz stable though
r u talkin bout 955 c3 bro? if c2 it would take a great steppin to do 3.9GHz stable, w/ volt above comfort zone (1.45v & above). even a decent c3 need around 1.4v (+/- 0.5v) which to me need above average air coolin for 24/7.

some update regardin d lv ram:
unable to boot > 1640, not so sure why but i didn't have much time to find out d culprit, was busy w/ american idol + some homework lastnite. higher volt doesn't help, didn't try cas8 coz runnin mid performance ram @ cas8 is lame to me

... 1.55v vdimm is suffice for 1640 short period blend test, one of d work fail after 3 hours. could be due to low imc volt thou. i put 1.25v for 2700 iirc... will check again tonite.
