how bout PAL n NTSC problem?

US consoles are NTSC, Asian consoles are NTSC-J.....most games are region coded so I'd really recommend u to get an Asian console.....NSTC games aren't as easy to come by here so you'd probably have to buy games over the net if you own a US console

definite problem...the USA has a NTSC/U while most games being sold here are NTSC/J

- Game Region Compatibility Issue.
- Require to Purchase A Stepdown Transformer.
- Warranty Claim only can be done in the United State.

get only NTSC-J console. NTSC-U/C got incompatibility issues and warranty claim issues over here in Malaysia

Don't get parallel import console. I do not see the reason why you must get it as you will pay more for big hassle afterwards for game & accessory incompatiblity!

yes, it's cheaper to get one from US or UK

but for all of the hassle that you'll encounter, it's not worth it

and even if you're planning to mod it, the region restriction still applies

NTSC-J can play NTSC-J/NTSC (no region protection) & PAL (no region protection)

You can always google for no region games for xbox360

what i can say..if u want to use it in states or in uk, get it. but if u plan to buy overthere and use it here, not worth a cent..better buy it here. u'll stuck with hard to get games and at last, u'll sell the console. who wants to buy it unless make it as spare parts..
dont u get it, we're talking about region games.. either PAL or NTSC/UC console, the game is still hard to get here unless the game is region free which is still, not all games are region free.

Buy it there but hack it with Cygnos 2.0 because its pain in the ass to do it here maybe impossible.
Should be available there.
Makes ur console multi-region. becoz of dual kernel.
Or u can also play homebrew on one kernel and original on the other.

Are there people who install Cygnos in KL? Or is it not popular at all?

it's not available in any part of asia at all

i'm having one but wouldn't really recommend to do the same because it's almost ridiculous getting a compatible game. And the step down transformers go for like 150 ringgit or so.

Put some thought into it.

can i ask, i got teh canada xbox 360 set. which supposed to hv US set also, is it true?

what region coded game should i find, can i modded this xbox so can play local game?

to let u know i have an us x360, yes some games are regional, however i buy region free games. certain games are hard to get by./

Added on January 26, 2010, 12:34 pmi got mine on ebay, pre-installed have it send to my mom in nyc and she send it to me. it cost me about rm2k + shipping using fedex.

it is not so popular in msia yet, becoz all the scene release, the live arcade and iso are mostly US region. maybe in couple more months when the jtag hack is mature, ntsc-j region will follow up.

have to really depends on the scene release tho..

homebrew is really fun, like the xmbc from the previous xbox. they had it run on x360 now but still in beta. it do wonderful things.
