Hi everyone,

After some 15 years away from HiFi stuffs, just got myself Yamaha Integrated Amp A-S301 and pair of JBL Arena 180.  So far my main source is online music streaming.

I'm thinking of adding sub-woofer to my setup but kind of don't know where to start.
My budget would be around RM1k-2.5k.

I've seen some JBL and Yamaha sub in Lazada, but have no idea which way to go.

appreciate otai here for advice.

You can try REL subs for music but the price will be a bit expensive. Mission MS series subs will be okay too and you can get it below RM2K.

Thank you for the lead... I think I'm going to be patient and wait for July.  Heard there will be AV show...

In the meantime, saw JBL ES250P in lazada for rm2.5k.
Is it a good sub for that price range??
*
You are welcome bro! I'm waiting for KLIAV show too for this July and I think you should be able find an ideal sub there. If for HT purpose, I would top up and go for SVS as well but if it is solely for music, then there are still other choices to consider if you do not want to spend a lot.

Always add a bit more price...😅😅😅😅

Any good place to get my hand on svs???
*
Sometimes its worthy if you could get a better sound quality by topping up to a reasonable amount. smile.gif

You may also look for Actsessory Shoppe in Subang Jaya, SS14.

Absolutely go for the PB2000 if you can accommodate the size. It plays as cleanly as the SB2000 despite being ported (lol the myth of ported subs sounding 'sloppy' need to stop), except at much higher output across the entire frequency range (even in the mid-bass area).

Protip; It takes 4 SB2000 to equal 1 PB2000 in output.

Yeah, ported subwoofers typically offer better low-end extension as well as greater output. I will go for PB2000 if getting SVS and thanks for your suggestion bro!

@ Bro Sonerin thanks for your suggestion too!
