QUOTE(klimal @ Nov 25 2011, 11:38 PM) LPF off at the subwoofer side. Meaning to say that once we set the crossover frequency at the receiver, we must turn off the crossover at the sub (set it to the highest freq)?Let the avr do the bass management. It will send signals for the LFE from 120Hz and below to the sub. This post has been edited by sphiroth: Nov 26 2011, 01:13 AM |

From my onkyo AVR manual, if the satellite has less than 9cm diameter, crosssover need to set to to 150hz or 200hz.

QUOTE(car_men @ Nov 28 2011, 07:26 PM) ic.... i'm using center and rear satellite speakers from Onkyo SKS HT528.. it stated 8cm...... and front using tower speakers.. quite rojak.. I set mine to 150 Hz. I'm using Onkyo SKF-340, 5 piece speaker set (bought for rm160) paired with an old kenwood 8" sub. Before this I'm using kenwood 2 way tower/floorstander which sounded worse compared to this onkyo sets. Maybe my AVR don't have enough power for the floorstander.Specs Impedance : 6 ohm Max input power : 120w output sound pressure : 81 db/W/m Frequency response : 80 Hz - 20 kHz Speaker : 8cm Cone... I've adjust both my center and rear to 120 Hz.. should be ok... tested on Captain America.. time to upgrade my center and rear! |
