Just a question to all the sub sifu's here, notworthy.gif

I now have my speakers (Onkyo SKF-330 series) and also a Pioneer VSX-919AH-K AVR

What sub under RM1K do you guys recommend?

Room size is 11 feet by 9 feet

Mainly for Movies BD and MKV's (50%) Music (25%) and PC Games (25%)

Main output for all 3 is from a PC thru HDMI.

Thanks for the reply in advance. notworthy.gif

P.S I have no brand preference, just a tight budget, second hands welcome if you wanna sell it under my budget. brows.gif

To all the boom boom sifu's here icon_question.gif

I have an old infinity ssw-10 servo woofer which bought 2nd hand, today i notice the foam rim peeled off the paper cone center. cry.gif

The foam rim isnt damaged (tearing) but i think the glue just gave way. So the question is :

1. can i glue it back myself or do i need a professional to do it?

2. if i can DIY, what type of glue can i use to glue it back

3. should i re-glue the whole thing or just the open part?

Thanks for the answer, hope you can help me out with my problem notworthy.gif

P.S Will post pic once i get home from work if any of you want too see the actual thing

Hi netherlord,

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with my klipsch promedia subwoofer ( pc sub ), the foam also tore, brought the sub to the shop, and I asked if the person could just repair that area only. He told me whole foam surround already started to disintegrate. True enough, when he pushed the other area of the surround, it just crumbled. He helped replace the foam surround on both sides ( as the sub is a dual 6.5" ) with rubber surrounds and they have been working fine ever since. The speakers are 11 years old now. Suprisingly, the foam surrounds on the 4 satellites are still ok. Touch wood wink.gif I think you should get someone to replace the foam surround with rubber surround. The sound may be slightly different tho.....

I see, if thats the case, does anyone know a good place to recommend for fixing my sub? cause i have no prior experience in this area.
