80Hz should be good or 70Hz if youe center could go below 50Hz

I am using Infinity 12" sub woofer. What my natural sub woofer sound mean is simply natural, not too much powerfully. If I put high volume on my sub, the sound look very bad, almost want to break my woofer speaker. If I didn't put high volume on my sub everything seem ok for me. Explosion, current wave in the movie Blue Crush 2 is awesome, I can feel the current wave sound in my sub woofer is working pretty good...... My sub woofer is old but still can use.
I heard B&W sub is very good .... SVS is not bad also...

wow, you can see the sound sweat.gif

and I don't understand the meaning in red?

btw, my sub have not gave me any "bottom-up" yet since day one, even when I played at -5db on my AVR (I think close to 95db SPL measured)

and I'm using a 12" sub-woofer as well blush.gif tongue.gif

I like the word 'sane'  laugh.gif But how many of us actually listen to normal volume? Say -25dB or below?

For the first time, I tested Tron Legacy today at my place (previously, I watched quite a lengthy of it at mpyw's HT Room). Bl**dy h*ll. At 7m and 24m scene, the bass is the craziest that I'd thus far encountered. I have to back down the volume to -13dB from -10dB as the door and walls shaking until my staff came in and asked what movie that I was watching.

Even at that volume, my pants flap and the sofa really rumble a lot. This is the single most INSANE LFE that I had ever experience shocking.gif .
will try play again at -5db this weekend and let the wife complain vibrating kitchen tongue.gif
previously you are listening at -15db I presume and the sub is not at its most efficient location....sould be better this time, and I can set "near field" to the tong sampah now sweat.gif tongue.gif

maybe set the CHT12R to music for movie watching, it will reduce a bit of the boominess. Add a sub-dude will improve the tightness as well.

I had this subbie b4 and it's really boom boom even sit on a sub-dude.
