Sounds like ground looping issue. Do you able to find the source of it?

Yup, amp upgraded.. I think ground loop from power outlet?? Coz humming is there when I just turn on without connecting to AVR. Humming is less when connected to AVR but goes away when I manually ground the sub's amp.

Thinking of buying a copper wire, connect to sub's amp plate and stick the other end into the ground on the std 3 point power outlet.. Will that work?

Did you try the 3 pin plug?

The power outlet at the amp is 2 pin or 3 pin type?

What do u meAn? Submersive comes with a 2 pin plug only. Unmeaning change to a 3 pin?

Asking on behalf of my fren, anyone knows where / who I can recommend my fren to look for to repair his sub ?

I am not sure exactly the model, it's Velodyne 12" (either CHQ or Impact I presume).

Attached, looks like 1 out of the 3 PCB is fried - I've not seen the actual sub, fren sent to me the pics.

Will there be problem if I put the center speaker directly on top of the subwoofer? Planning to shift the subwoofer to the center, aligning with the tv, and put the center speaker above it. If needed, might add in a stand for the center speaker...but I am afraid that it might create another issue like rattling noise

There will be movement on subwoofer enclosure. It is not advisable to put the center spkr on it.

It is best to use a stand for your center.
