May I come kacau? This is the one and only one in Malaysia, according to Asia Sound. I can buy popcorn. biggrin.gif

Added on November 6, 2010, 9:26 amAccording to AVS, V2 has better power output compared to V1. The grill although it would block the view of the sexy driver, it would make the sub sound better.

So, can we safely say this one is the Mother of all Subs at the moment? Not a single sub in M'sia can beat this babe? shocking.gif

Nobody knows who are all the sub owners in Malaysia and what sub they have. If you're talking about those on this forum...

In this forum, yes. In Malaysia, no. Wilson Benesch Torus found owners here so as PMC high end sub along with other high end subs. Performance wise, I don't know which is better.

Nice pics. That sure is one nice looking sub with the curves and all.

For a moment I thought "oh he bought two?!". Then I realised it was the mirror smile.gif
Definitely it goes well below 20Hz. And being sealed, it couples nicely with the room gain so the final response should be good down to single digit! You really need something like REW to graph that baby!
*
Thanks! I think it looks great! It's very well finished. You're not the first to mistake the mirror image for dual subs! How I wish! But my neighbours would probably call the police with all the room shaking.

I just went through the AVS Sub 25 thread and couldn't find anything on it, and online, about the different versions. But they did talk about v1, v2, v3 for the Signature series speakers. As far as I know, there's no 'official' Sub 25 updates or versions. Maybe if you could direct me to the post, that would help. Thanks!

How does it feel? Well, after testing it over this weekend. I'm currently feeling a bit ill. Ill enough to turn the bass down. sweat.gif

Seems like there's a limit to how much bass my body can take. LOL Over dosed on LFE rclxub.gif

Quick Review:
When I first set it up without MCACC or PBK, I quickly tested a few Bluray movies. Initial first impressions was that it was tight. Very tight and clean. The bass could start up instantly out of no where and disappear just as suddenly. Very dynamic. It was also a bit like an uncontrolled beast. Every bass effect hit me in the chest and I could feel it vibrating the couch - and this was only at 10 o'clock volume gain. A lot of bass that you feel more than you hear. Things fell off shelves in the room next door shocking.gif It was tearing my home apart.

After that I had to stop to go out for dinner and I set up the PBK and MCACC. The next day I tested the same movies and it was night and day. So well controlled. So well behaved. The sub still went deep and LOUD, but all the unnecessary vibrations disappeared. I played the movies I tested the previous day at 12 o'clock and there was significantly less unnecessary rattling and shaking. Seems like the equalization cleaned up a lot of the unnecessary, leaving all the good. It felt a bit bloated the day before, but no more after the PBK.

The Sub25 had the power to control the room effortlessly and also matched extremely well with my Cremona Ms. I was a bit worried that that it would not be able to keep up, cause the Cremonas have very capable drivers, but no such issues. Not just with movies, but music also.

It meets the magic 5 criterias - Loud, Deep, Dynamic, Low Distortion & Looks Great!

I'm thrilled. Worth every cent smile.gif

Have you had the opportunity to try the Torus or PMCs? How did you find them?

Hi Shuto,

After seeing your review thumbup.gif , my backside feels itchy already. tongue.gif

On AVS forum, please refer to post #824.
There were some discussions, or perhaps it's an confusion over a new 4800W DSP amp.
I dare not comment much as I don't own a sub 25. Pai sei Pai sei notworthy.gif

I bet the Sub25 should fare better than Servo 15.

And here is the old PB13-Ultra

I believe that the Sub25 can hit 9Hz with very good output. This is King of Sub (below RM20K), at least to me.

Marantz always 'safe' on LFE mah. Told u liao tongue.gif Onkyo has been 'brutal' when it comes to 'LFE'. Bassnuts should aim for Onkyo. No doubt about it. Btw, when are you free? Thought of bringing the 4311 over to poison you blush.gif

Hey Htkaki, you are trying to pull more members to jump ship & join "Sky Dragon" club! rclxms.gif

In Kuching, Onkyo & Malanz owners have already converted to DENON tongue.gif . (some even trade-in) It is estimated to be more than 80% market share...
Not mentioning Denon's signature sound but with the latest advanced room correction equipped....It just keep growing!
Some elites are pairing them with power amp, Emotive, POA etc whistling.gif
