Hey everyone, i'm a newbie here, the name's max.
I'm also a beginner of using cosmetics, which means putting on make-up.
Need some suggestions and tips to buy and put on these make-ups.

What do you recommend? Especially for oily skin like mine..
Erm....good ones with a reasonable price? in other words, cheap..haha..
can recommend other beauty or healthcare products too!
need to know a little bit of everything!
Please and thank you! wink.gif

Hi there,
First, have you found suitable facial care regime for your oily skin?
If you require more info on skin, can always visit 'blog' section on my website.

As for make up, you may try BB cream , I found it very friendly and easy to use make up.

Erm...currently still able to control using the suitable products.
ooo...i heard BB cream is quite convinient, but, also heard that it's not so good compare to simple foundation.
I'm trying with the basics first...mascara....eyeliner...lip gloss....
but...any recommendations? cheap and good ones? or should i say...economical...haha
thanks for the link!

I'm a lazy person with combination skin and BB cream does the trick for me, currently using Dr Jart Silver label. ^^ You might wanna try some light foundation, just remember to puff on some loose powder so it'll help keep your face shine free.

For mascara or eyemake up, get something that doesn't smudge easily, especially since you have oily skin. The Body Shop and Dejavu Fiberwig has decent mascara that doesn't smudge. biggrin.gif

May I know your budget? It'll be easier for us forummers to recommend you stuff if we know that. ^^

Hope that helps.

i have oily skin too. im using BRTC perfect recover BB cream, quite expensive for a bb but its oil control is good and the coverage too! plus it's fragrance-free. normally i just use bb cream and some loose powder if im rajin sikit. and will only put on neccessary make up for occasions only. not that im kedekut or what, but make ups will actually clog oily skin. if u dun have problems with pimples/acnes, then that's okay smile.gif maybeline's mascara is quite cheap n i can say it's quite okay cus been using it for years, try the volume max one (don't know if i remember the name correctly). ZA has very cheap eye shadows which is quite alrite too. as for eyeliner, i think faceshop's one is cheap n good to use tongue.gif happy experimenting! ur smile is the best make up =)

hahah! cheap products do not come with good quality. haha!

anyhow, i don't use super expensive make up either.

as a start, perhaps you can try face powder instead.. i mean if you do not intend for coverage or whatsoever.. pressed powder will do.. it helps to mattify your face as well. i have oily skin too.

and ever since my skin gotten better, i don't really use BB cream or any foundation.. just little concealer and pressed powder. pressed powder do not give much coverage as it's sheer but it helps to mattify my skin. hehe!

mascara: deja vu fiberwig is good too.. you can get it in guardian or sasa. other than that, maybelline has pretty decent mascara too. i am using maybelline volume express now.. the one with tiger stripes cover. i use 2 coats and it's good to go. try to use waterproof mascara and some has oil and sweat proof. if we have oily skin, oily lids tend to smudge eye liner and mascara; hence waterproof/ oil proof/ sweat proof are recommended.

eyeliner.. i am using revlon colorstay eye pencil liner.. at first it smudges on me as well but i am using eye primer; hence it got better. i do recommend maybelline gel liner. it doesn't smudge on me at all. once it's dried, it's set! i think i will want to try out liquid liner soon. majorlica majorca mascara is good too. any forms of waterproof mascara will take a little more efforts to take it off at the end of the day. deja vu fiberwig is slightly easier to take off. i use cleansing oil to remove it.

lip gloss.. my favorite is of course HABA.. you can get it from KLCC isetan.. it's a departmental store product and costs RM56 per lip gloss. not sure if it's expensive to you but it's my fave. it's not sticky and it doesn't feather on me.

as for drug stores range... lip ice is fairly good. for teens.. very simple and gives short term gloss effect. it wears off really fast. haha! fasio isn't bad too. i am yet to try majorlica's gloss.. will tell you once i tried it. i heard rimmel's lip gloss isn't bad either. you may wanna check out etude house lip gloss too.. it's alright to me but my fave is still HABA's lip gloss. recently i have bought DODO's lipgloss from japan.. the gloss is baby pink.. nude pink and it's so sticky and feather on my lip. sigh.. i guess that's how it's when comes to nude?

are you looking for blusher too? i love HABA's blusher too and it's price at RM45 if i am not mistaken. hehe! other than that, i like canmake's blusher and majorlica's blusher is pretty as well. it stays on my cheek for hours!
