Prev CNY holiday, I booked via hotel's website after checking out agoda's price promo, and it was legit, infact the hotel's website was rm10 cheaper.. and prior to check-in, the hotel staff whatsapp me bfast/lunch/dinner buffet additional offer (20-50% off from normal price)..

My experience is that official hotel websites are slightly more expensive than agoda. I normally will go through agoda first because (1) it allows me to collect points which can be converted to rebate (2) it has more choices and reviews. Must read reviews to know how good/bad the listed hotels/hostels are.
